Me and my husband are impressed by this place. We went from Chicago to Door county almost two months ago, this is our dinner place of the first night. My husband is a chef in a Michelin star restaurant so I told him 10 times please do not have too high expectations it’s not in the city. Then, everything is well done, even the spinach salad! I keep asking my husband to make their salad for me even after we are back. The texture, the portion, the ingredients and the tastes are all well balanced. You guys did better than a lot of popular restaurants in Chicago, Bravo! If you see this review and plan to visit door county, please do not hesitate to go there and try, I am serious!

Too bad this restaurant and cheese company was taken over by people that don't know what they're doing. I had been to Glacier Ledge for dinner and brunch, both fantastic. Their website has been down for months, so you can't even order cheese. I guess I'll switch to Renards!

I am sure it is very good however the restaurant is not open for service. You can take the cheese tray from the store and eat it there, he said. We called ahead and left a message with No response. They should up date their answering machine. Disappointing

This has to be one of the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.First thing, the owner of the restaurant was so kind and humble. We even got complimentary cheese curds at the end. He gave our dog a bowl for food and guided us about the local trails and attractions we could try. We couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for going above and beyond given we didn’t know the places around so much.Second, the service was at par than anywhere else. The chef/waitress was so kind even though she was shorthanded and almost end of the day, she listened to our questions and requests.Last but definitely not the least, the ambiance of the restaurant is just a killer and food is so delicious. I can’t wait to try this place again when I visit the area again.Kudos to all the hardwork you folks are putting into this place and keep up the great work.

My husband and I came to Door County for our anniversary. We stopped here and it was amazing. Great customer service, quiet atmosphere. Cheese Curd Lover pizza is to die for. Do not pass this place up!

Since changing the menu the food seems to just be elevated/overpriced bar food where it was previously incredible tapas. In the past it was my absolute favorite restaurant that I’d make an absolute must stop on my door county trips but upon switching owners it just seemed like a place you can get cheese curds. Very disappointed & wouldn’t return with this current menu.

We visited this place shortly after is opened and enjoyed a wonderful meal. This year, we made two trips. Wednesday its was supposed to be open, but was closed. On Thursday, made call to see if open, No answer, so we went. We were the only customers in the whole place and only one wait staff. Looked at menu and were terribly disappointed. The meals that we had enjoyed there before were no longer on the menu. We left and as we drove by later that evening, saw the parking lot was completely empty. Not surprised. Hopefully someone will take over this place and restore it's reputation.

You gotta try their cheeseburger stuffed with artisan cheeses from their own factory. Beautiful place and good food during the day. The new manager (from Copenhagen) is wanting to have special wine and cheese dinners and we're looking forward to it.

We wanted to try a 'different' dining experience during our New Year's Eve in Door County. Having a chef preparing meals - for sharing, as our waitress professed - per order seemed appealing as my wife has a number of food allergies (including a no dairy requirement) so we could manage our dinner in a unique way. Great concept, but poor execution, however. Her primary dish arrived first, before what we considered to be our 'shared' veggie appetizer. Tasty, but lacking something - my primary dish. An hour later, after all other food was consumed, my salmon dish arrived. It was tasty, but my wife basically had to sit an watch me 'dine alone' as she couldn't eat the salmon or sauce it was prepared in. No hostess, a lot of waitress apologies regarding delayed food prep, and potentially nice ambience . . . but it it never came off. We probably wouldn't return for a follow-up performance, but others might enjoy the interesting cuisine. Can't really recommend to friends or family members . . . but I wish I could.

No cocktails. Waiter didn't know what a gin and tonic was, asked us what the ingredients were. Food was yummy, fireplace seating was very pleasant. Waiter was polite, just very green, for example didn't include pen with bill. We asked if they did anything special for birthdays, he said they had special birthday desserts and then charged us for it. Pretty sure the dessert we had gave us both food poisoning. Was the only food we shared and we both got sick that night.

We are frequent diners at Glacier Ledge and have always had fantastic food and service. Last night was no exception. Everything was creative, delicious, and prompt. We would drive much farther for this level of food, but fortunately live nearby. Highly recommended!

We were impressed with the variety of foods that were available. The portion sizes were small which gave us an opportunity to try many entrees. They were all very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet which we appreciate when going out to eat.

Absolutely delicious food! We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a light lunch and were impressed by the quality of the food and how quickly it was prepared! We were started off with a palette cleaner that was fantastic - grape, feta, walnuts, and balsamic on a spoon. We then ordered the flatbread of the day that had potato, cheese, and bacon on top. I was a bit skeptical about the potato but the flatbread was cooked to perfection and the flavors balanced out very well. We also ordered the kafta meatballs and this was phenomenal! The hummus and accompanying salad were also well done and I was certainly recommend this menu item for anyone who likes middle eastern flavors - and if you've never had middle eastern food, try this and you will not be disappointed! The drinks were amazing, the Bloody Mary was obviously made fresh and the hot buttered rum was heavenly. This establishment is so unassuming but definitely one of my favorite places in Door County. Compliments to the chef for your talents!
