Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink, it was sooo dark in there!! Walked up to the bar and asked about a menu, the bartender pointed at the chalk board and let me know that she was the only one working..no hello, no welcome in,just annoyed that I asked a question. Needless to say we didn't stay.

I was in on Friday night at 1130pm. Came from out of town to visit friends. The bartender was very rude and a lot of people had to wait 20 mins before getting a drink. I dont think i will be back to this place after this.

So I'm not quite sure how this bar fits into the local scene. It's definitely a bar for locals and then sometime raise fans and visitors. I visited three different times and each time we had a different atmosphere and a different vibe.

The Brown Baer is one of the best places to grab a beer downtown Elkhart Lake with an excellent tap and canned beer selection! Pro tip - the Buffalo Califower is straight fire!! !
