Great Food/Service Vy Server Elsi L! The Best In Elkhart Lake ! Johnny V (Madison Visitor)
First timers last night as we won a gift certificate and it did not disappoint! Excellent menu, amazing food and service! Will definitely be back!
We stopped for a drink and to enjoy their spacious patio. We were directed by the manager to have a seat on one of the padded chairs. We walked outside and something smelled bad. Not wanting to smell whatever was dead we left. And on the way out there was a large dog log on the ground and someone had stepped in it. After about 2 blocks away we figured out what stunk. My wife was the one who stepped on the doggy doo doo. DISGUSTING! Will not be back!

Lake Street Cafe is a great spot with fantastic food and atmosphere. The service is fantastic, with a very friendly and professional staff. Menu highlights include the tomato bisque, beet salad with flank steak, shrimp cucumber salad, grilled chicken sandwich on Foccaccia bread, and the daily soup specials which are to die for. The drinks are also tasty, including a gin basal beverage. The restaurant has a nice patio, hardwood floors, and is very comfortable and inviting. A bonus in the summer is the farmers market across the street. While it was a favorite go to local restaurant, some recent visits had very slow orders, especially challenging with young children. However, for those stopping in from out of town, the food comes out perfectly timed and delicious.
