We stumbled upon a quaint little bar for a midday meal during a friends wedding getaway. The ambience was just what we were looking for - a warm and inviting pub. The staff compromised only of a bartender and a chef in the kitchen, but they handled the influx of tourists with ease. The Brown Baer looks like. . .how do I say this nicely. . . not much on the outside, but the food is great and the service is pleasant. I ordered the sloppy Joe and it was big, flavorful, unexpectedly cheesy and extremely sloppy. It came with chips and a cucumber salad, a generous meal.Insider tip: There are no menus other than the one on the chalkboard. You order at the bar.

We stopped in for a Friday night dinner with our two children. There was some seating available since it was the off-season for tourism. The giant pretzel, served with beer cheese and brown mustard for dipping, was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Delicious!
