“We went just for the apple cider donuts on our way from eagle, WI to lake Geneva. I wish we’d come for lunch but we arrived ten minutes before they closed. The donuts were easy to find, sold separately at a little kiosk outside by the half or dozen. They were worth stopping if only for the donuts! Warm and fresh even though they were about to close. Small sized so easy to sneak one in before dinner or have a couple. Light and fluffy with a small sprinkling of sugar. Not greasy, not rich, not too sweet. Utter fall perfection.The place had multiple food trucks, alcohol, picnic tables, etc. Families were having a great time with kids happily running around and adults chatting, listening to the guitarist singing in the background. Bucolic. Definitely worth going out of you way for this.“
