We were there in July 2021 while visiting Door County. We were there around 7 p.m. on a weekday and the wait was 1 hour. There is a small area for you to wait in with very poor drink selection. The atmosphere of the first room was excellent with a fireplace but we were sent to an extension area that looked like we were in a tent but it was a permanent extension to the main building. The atmosphere was not very good but the food was. I'm not sure I would go back there.

The place is very nice looking and has a nice feel. It deserves a few stars for that. The food is nothing special. We were surprised that all of our dishes, including ribs came out within 5 minutes. Service is excellent, but no ribs are done that fast.

We went here twice during our visit and both times had a good meal. Service was good. I recommend stopping here for quick meal. Enjoyed the whitefish dinner. Others in our group enjoyed the walleye and pulled pork sandwich.

Stopped for dinner and sat outside. It was fun watching the people and enjoying a nice dinner. Salmon was good, perch dinner was good (not greasy at all) wine was good all recommendations of our waiter who was fabulous!! I wish I would have gotten his name to give him credit for an excellent job with the service we received. The price for our dinner was what we expected for a nice dinner but they serve everything from sandwiches to entrees that cost a little more. Portions were good!
Unhappy birthdayI have years of experience in management and customer relations, and this dinner was a disaster from the start. Went here tonight for my husbands birthday and were told the only table they had for five was outside in front of the restaurant. A family of 5 arrived shortly after we sat down and were given a table inside. Several more parties of 4-6 arrive while we are sitting there in the cold and wind, and all are seated inside. What gives? We were told your establishment does not take reservations, so why were we sitting outside when clearly there were other tables available? After about 15 minutes or so, we are asked to move to a different table outside, so that a different family can sit in our spot with their dog. They bring them a bowl of water for their pet, take their orders right away, all while we wait to see a waiter at all. finally someone asks for our drink orders, and my son asks for root beer. The waiter brings him a cherry soda and convinces my son to just take that one instead of what he ordered. He didn’t argue and just drinks it anyway. Our orders finally come, long after this other group has finished eating and are ready to go…except my husbands order. They clearly forgot his. We have all just about finished eating by the time his meal arrives! The waiter tries to give him excuses and a piece of cherry pie (to go) to make up for this mix up, and when my husband tells him he can’t eat pie, there is no other attempt to make it right, not even an offer of a different dessert, percent off the bill, nothing! (BTW, none of the rest of us were asked about dessert). Since we have all finished eating at this point, my husband asks for a to go box. 15 minutes pass, and the waiter comes and asks again if anyone wants anything boxed up, realizes he has already asked this question and forgot, and goes to get one.This whole dinner was a disaster from the beginning, and we should have just left when we were seated outside. But we had eaten here on another vacation, so thought we would give it a chance. Instead this was the worst dining experience we have ever had in Door County. My husbands meal should have been comped and a manager should have come to our table to make it right.We didn’t make a scene outside in front of your restaurant, but the rest of my night has been spent wishing we had. This was unacceptable, the waiter was fully aware that the situation was more than uncool, and nothing was done to rectify it. Too late for a refund?? That’s about the only thing at this point that would come close to good customer service.

We had a very nice dinner at Gibraltar Grill. We were able to bring our dog with us to eat and the food was great. The service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back when we visit Door again.
