Rooms: clean but outdated, poorly insulated and soundproofed. Lighting in bathroom was awful for getting ready. Bathroom fan was loud and ineffective. Sink was slow to drain. No bottled water even when charged a “resort fee”.Spa: incredible facials and massages. Subpar manicures and pedicures. Sandals provided only fit up to a women’s size 8 (that’s generous).Restaurant: nice ambiance, good service, good food and drinks.Resort: outdated and cold. Upkeep on buildings was poor (several spots of rotting wood on exterior).

To the 240 West Team at Abbey ResortDear Team,I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to The 240 West Abbey restaurant staff and resort staff for the exceptional care and assistance provided to my husband during a medical emergency during our stay this past weekend. .During a dinner gathering with our family and friends, my husband experienced a sudden medical episode, collapsing. The quick response and compassionate assistance from your restaurant staff were truly commendable. They maintained calm and professionalism throughout the ordeal, ensuring my husband received the necessary attention and support until the arrival of medical responders.Their swift actions and kindness significantly alleviated the stress and anxiety of the situation for both myself and our companions. Knowing that we were in capable hands during such a frightening experience brought immense comfort to us all. The turn time from the ambulance was so short and the truth is you were apart of saving his life!!!We are deeply grateful for the exemplary service and genuine care demonstrated by your team. Please extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved in assisting us during this challenging time.We look forward to returning in the future and enjoying your exceptional hospitality once again. With warm regards,The Underwood’s!

Everything was absolutely wonderful for our Women's retreat! When you speak of the rooms; they could use a microwave, and TVs that have another USB cable accessible port. This will allow guest to plug in a video game, or a fire stick to watch something else. When you speak of Service, my concern would be the food service. Catering to the dietary needs of other guest who CANNOT eat pork or beef, or who are VEGAN. For instance an option of more then just potatoes for vegans. Another choice of meat such as chicken/turkey sausage for those who CANNOT consume pork or beef due to health reasons. On another note, the amenities my group and I were able to enjoyed was overwhelmingly wonderful! Starting with the spa treatments, the room that we hosted our event in, the pool and whirlpool, the Sunday brunch, the beautiful view and access to the outside ground amenities absolutely phenomenal! The 60 women that were in attendance; were extremely exhilarated, rejuvenated, and blessed to have had the opportunity to be in attendance at this event held at the ABBY!The staff and the hospitality staff were absolutely gracious, so accommodating, and extremely helpful. They honored every request made by our director and team. Words cannot express the gratitude, and appreciate of the exquisite service these 60 women recieved by the entire staff.Overall I would give the ABBY a 9 out of 10 rating!

I’d have to say… this place really isn’t worth the hype!Don’t expect to be greeted by friendly workers… felt like I was being a bother to them, as I was trying to check in.Got to our room and only to find fake eyelashes all over the sink & the floor… I was just over this place at that point, just wanted to go home.I have zero desire to ever visit this place again.

The room was good/nicely decorated, bed was very comfortable. The reasons I didn't give a 5 on the room was (1) thermostat was nowhere near accurate and (2) tub drained very slow; was standing in 3" of water by end of shower (gross ?)

A waterfront spacious resort, full accomodation including for kids. Friendly staffs, but the rooms consider a bit small.Nearby activities: Drive to downtown for 20 minutes, lit of restaurants and shops. Apparently during my visit there is winter ice carving festival.Safety: It is tranguility no hustle, safe and sound areaWalkability: You can take a walk from the hotel to its surrounding, marina port, restaurant, bar

My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years and couldn't say enough good things until we tried to book our annual trip. We called the spa to make some reservations and ask about some of the other activities that were going on and we were greeted by a woman with a heavy Indian accent who proceeded to give us the one word I don't really care answers. After several attempts to get a little bit more information out of her, we asked if we could get her name and she's proceeded to hang up on us. We called back several times as we still wanted to make our reservations but she would not answer the phone. Thank God there are other resorts in lake Geneva and we will definitely be trying them out. Very sad. Is this used to be our very special weekend together? And I am heartbroken. The service used to be top notch. Not sure what happened. Thank you
