Lou Malnati's used to be my favorite pizza place in town until recently. We ordered a pizza on New Year's Eve. This is what it looked like. I thought I would try again. Unfortunately, it was slightly better than this but not by much. I checked the pizza this time at pickup. When I opened it, the person working the counter asked me if I was ok with how it looked. Why should that even be a question? You shouldn't get a burnt pizza when you are spending close to fifty dollars on a pizza and a salad. I don't think I will be ordering from there again unless there are significant changes. I called the corporate offices. I hope they bring back the pizza that my family loves.

Nothing compares to Lou! Perfect deep dish pizza, every time. Friendly service and the pizza is always ready when I arrive for my carry out order. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I wish they had a dine-in option at this location.

I ordered online a sausage thin crust and garlic bread with marinara sauce. I ordered well in advance and forgot to use the free delivery coupon. No biggie. I didn't like the deep dish so I thought what could go wrong with thin crust. I ordered for 6 pm delivery and it came at almost 630 by door dash (!). The food was ice cold, flavorless and the thin crust was definitely crispy, even extra. What a waste of 35 bucks. Never again. I'll stick to Jets. Always warm and hot and perfect.

I am a fan of Lou Malnati's. Not only do they have the ordering process down, they provide excellent food, that is well prepared, packaged, and ready for pick up. We ordered "The Lou" medium pizza, pasta, and a salad. Bill was $50 as expected. The location was neat and clean, and the staff helpful and focused on their job. The pizza came hot, and tasty as was the pasta and salad. No complaints. They recommend not cutting the pizza until home, which I believe helps with the quality of the product. This is true deep dish pizza. See photos of store and product. You will not go wrong when ordering Lou Malnati's! This served four adults and 2 kids!

Thin crust is the way to go. They're deep dish is not Chicago style in any way. The namesake Lou Malnati's pizza is great.

Great and delicious deep dish. My favorite is pepperoni and garlic. They pack the pizza nicely too which ensures the toppings are not wasted. They also have think pizza but the deep dish is very tasty and authentic. I used to go to the dine in Buffalo Grove location and it is the same delicious pizza. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because once in a while it is not as good as other times. The salad is also delicious.

My son’s birthday, he wanted Lou Malnatis and we ordered. I arrived on time for my curbside pickup. I called as instructed. Shared vehicle information and location. I waited and watched for 27 minutes as employees took care of customers inside. I pulled up to the doors (not a parking space) and opened the door and reminded them I was still waiting. The woman, Paige, (if she gave me her real name) brought me our pizza, finally, and lied to my face that two employees had come out and ‘called for me’. I was watching the shop the entire time and no one had come out. She was incredibly condescending and couldn’t have cared less that I had been waiting, watching, and she was lying to my face. This is the pizza we received.

Pizza, as always, was amazing. However, I have to complain about this dessert (haven't tasted it yet, but that isn't the gripe). When advertised on DoorDash, the chocolate cake looks huge, multi-tiered, covered in ganache, etc., and costs $10. What was delivered is little more than a chocolate coated brownie. The dessert is a massive rip-off (not to mention falsely advertised) for the price

Bland. So bland. Tastes like water, not sure how they can charge $40 for a deep dish pizza that’s simply tastes like nothing.

How does a five-star place get a two-star rating? Came in, ordered a pre-made salad. Nothing else. Used to have pre-made salads in the fridge out front, but now keeping them in the back. So we wait while people come and go to the back. No salad brought out. Ask whether our salad can be brought out. Woman in charge on 10/1 says we have to wait until all prior orders (pizzas being made fresh) are filled. Not wishing to wait for 10 pizzas to be made, asked for money back. Lower-level person, recognizing absurdity, finally got salad out in a minute. Come on, people, you can do better.

This place is phenomenal for Friday night through Sunday orders, but plummets if you order M-Thu. That's why I give a 3-star overall, because of inconsistency.Don't bother with the frozen thin crust, it's not good.

The toppings were ok, the sauce tasted burnt and the dough was over-proofed. Not bad, but not up to the reputation. I'll try again on a less busy week.
