The OC restaurant is known for its friendly staff and great service. The Friday fish fry is a popular choice, with a light batter on the fish and tasty tartar sauce. The Brussels sprouts are a must-try, being nicely charred, soft, and tossed with a tangy sweet glaze and meaty bacon ends. The salmon is amazing, and the outdoor seating by the water is perfect for summer visits.
The duck special comes with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes, while the chicken chili is cream-based. The restaurant offers a kids menu with cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and other choices. The 3-course Valentine’s Day special was enjoyed by many, along with the live music.
However, there have been some inconsistencies in the food quality. The perch plate was disappointing, with soggy fish, greasy potatoes, and a subpar tartar sauce. The walleye sandwich was just okay, while the red shrimp pasta missed the mark with its odd sweet and sour sauce.
The restaurant has a great ambiance, with a view, a wine wall, and big windows. The bartender is very friendly, and the drinks are amazing. The staff, particularly waitress Stephanie, are praised for their knowledge and service. Parking is available, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with an indoor ramp. Despite some misses, the potential of the menu makes it worth a second visit.
