“I very much appreciated that they chose not to close at 7 and were willing to keep kitchen open until 8. It is difficult to find a place to get something to eat on Mondays after golf in the area. Burger was well prepared and reasonably priced, served with fries at no additional charge. I will be back soon.“
“We were in Cabin 4 it was remodel in kitchen and living room. There is no A/C in the cabins had to leave early due to wife asthma and the hot weather that moved in that week. Cabin can use better cleaning. Has nice view and new owners are updating cabins as they can.“
“We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday breakfast and we referred to Lisa’s pub and grub. We had their southwestern omelette and bloody Mary’s food was awesome. If you’re looking for great food go to Lisa’s pub and grub. They have weekly specials also tacos sloppy Joe’s just to name a few. We also had a great conversation with Lisa and Sam.“
“Holly's is a great place to stop for a great burger and fries or a good ice cold beer! And when it comes time for the Tomahawk Fall Rally, there's no other place you want to stay!! 3 nights of live music, food trucks, vendors, and the best of all a great time!!“
“There’s something for everyone anytime of year here. My partner and I had a great dinner here on a snowy Saturday night. I ordered a bowl of their homemade soup to start. The soup of the day was chicken dumpling, my favorite! He had a patty melt which looked great and he finished all of it! I also ordered the cherry bomb shrimp and a side salad which made for a perfect light dinner, all while looking out the window to a view of lake nokomis and one of this years first snow falls. The perfect November view. We browsed the extensive winter drink menu also and overall had a great visit. We will be back again soon.“
“This is one of those times where I absolutely have to give a fantastic review but I really don't want to because I want this place all to myself. The food is all excellent. You can't find a better menu anywhere. The service is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. You really can't find a better bar in the northwoods.“
“All you can eat shrimp special and plenty to eat with 1 basket. Tasty food, great service. Drinks were on table as soon as our group arrived.The things missing, otherwise 5 stars, 1. Billy Bob, and 2. Bar pizza as an appetizer choice.Bonus was the Diet Mountain Dew drink options, which is never an option in some other parts of the US when asked if you want a Coke and what kind of Coke.“
“The food here is good and I've gone multiple times but being mostly a bar there aren't a lot of good choices. I personally like the pork tacos and steak fajitas but the Spanish rice side is just fair. The chips and salsa are very good but don't order the guacamole it's not very good. I personally like sitting at the bar as the owner is the bartender and waiter and can be fun to talk to but if he's really busy he gets a little cranky. Good place.“
“We like Whitman's. Great circular bar so it's easy to have conversations and interact with others. The food is great bar food and more. The soups are delicious. There's t.v.'s, music, and additional seating beyond the bar. Clean and organized but not so updated as to lose the up north feel.“
“Best seafood in the Northwoods! All the food is fresh, high quality and prepared to perfection. I love the parmesan zucchini that comes with the meal. Crab and halibut are out of this world! Prices are also very reasonable and service is excellent. Thank you for bringing upscale food to the Rhinelander area!!“
