Old fashioned bar restaurant. Service was good and food was great, reasonably priced and good tasting and hot. Had fried chicken, chicken wings, hot dogs of varous varieties. Sweet potato fries as well. Great ceaser chicken wrap. Group of 5 people.
We were greeted by the charming aroma in the entry tunnel, eerily reminiscent of my chain smoking grandfather’s house. We proceeded to saunter through the bar for a place to sit, and opted for a spot away from the corridor of ashtrays and tobacco hookahs. The bartender was engaging and friendly, unfortunately so were the fruit flies. Our middling food arrived and while the beef was corned it was a Reuben in only liberal interpretation of the name. I went in after a few rough medical tests. I ordered a Chicago dog and a bloody. The dog was higher than the menu stated and the bloody mary was $8! Yikes. I relocated. I engaged the manager in conversation and he was talkative which was good.
