“Stopped for a late lunch as we were driving by. Debated about the special for the day but sounded like too much food for me (could have shared). My son had the 1 pound Mighty Hurricane burger and I had the Somewhere Else Club. Both were very good but the side of fries were definitely not our favorite. The bar was pretty quiet as it was an odd time of day. The bartender was friendly and knew the locals as they came in. The locals were also friendly as we chatted at the bar.”

“Wests is simply the best homemade icecream I’ve ever had. The quaint atmosphere of an old fashioned dairy bar, kids carrying a banana split with a smile just as wide and the forty flavors cant be beat. The only downfall is that the line is sometimes out the door and down the street. Staff handle it with patience snd a smile. 😊”

“Lively coffee shop in the heart of Hayward. Delicious pastries (we had cran/orange scone and also carrot cake). Friendly staff. It has good energy and seems popular with the locals.”

Awesome selection and good hit food was available I had the spaghetti one grandson had grilled cheese, the other one had hot beef with gravy, and their dad had salads.

“I stopped in on my way home and got Tembers & Tiggz ribs … I’m going to say is to die for! Excellent job! No sauce needed he has them perfectly seasoned in my opinion! Worth the trip to go hang out with this crew. I would show photos, but I couldn’t make it home without stealing a few bites.”

“Our first time in, greeted with amazing hospitality! The kids we given coloring sheets while we waited for our 5 drinks. They were made pretty quick for one staff. There is a cute bookshelf where children can get a free book. Very cute jewelry available too. Affordable prices and as a coffee connoisseur, the best caramel macchiato I have ever had! “This Caribou Coffee location inside Marketplace Foods is fantastic. I came after getting donuts at the grocery store to get a black coffee which was made quickly and efficiently. The coffee was great - hot and fresh. The lady who took my order was friendly as well. Overall, the Caribou inside Marketplace Foods is fantastic and has great coffee.”

“Got the par-b-que burger, the Italian beef and the mozzarella sticks. Burger and fries was definitely the best of the three. Italian was your typical bar Italian beef with the pepporocinis advertised as giardenara peppers. There is no giardenara as far as I can tell. The marinara that came with the mozzarella sticks was either old, dry or stale we did not eat it. Overall all not bad, great vibe, just got a know what to order.”

“We got our wedding cake and cupcakes here and just wow. They tasted amazing, looked fantastic, and were everything we wanted. It was so nice to be able to come in and sample things, and work with them to get exactly the look we wanted. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night. The random chance we took turned out great! Good drinks, great food, spectacular dessert. We got a few items to try:
- breaded mushrooms - crispy and juicy at the same time
- potato skins - cheesy, crispy bacon, cooked just right
- scallops - seared to perfection, rice, asparagus and sauce were all top notch
- fish fry - perfect. Try the cornbread muffin, it's unreal.
- turtle cheesecake - just the right amount of nuts and caramel
- brownie with ice cream - warm brownie, cold ice cream, 100% yes

“The woman who appears to own the place is kind of sour, but by God, she can bake like an angel. I come from Chicago and went to school for cooking, this woman is outstanding. The breads are next level.”

“A local recommended this place to us. It was cool to see the interesting mounts! Great atmosphere, and there was some great music playing on the jukebox! The bartender was the only one working and he was great! This was the afternoon of 10-5-2024. He was busy and keeping things clean, and all were severed promptly. My husband even asked him the best spot to see some bear. He didn't think we would see any but told us of a good spot to see some elk! Definitely recommend checking this place out! We only had drinks!”

“By Tuesday they start to run out of dinners. Order ahead. Very odd steaks. Sirloin looked like a tenderloin and the prime rib was cooked/grilled as a single steak and over cooked. But I have had great meals there before .”

“We went for the first time last night for the fish fry. Everything was amazing! The fish was lightly breaded and had great taste, it, along with the steak cut fries were cooked to perfection. A tasty old fashioned. Fantastic service from Bonnie. My niece inhaled her burger, and we even shared a delectable dessert. Wonderful experience!”

“Rolled in at 11:00 PM on a Saturday night. A gentleman named Chuck did a great job. Clearly cared about what he was doing, and happy to accommodate my requests. He sorted through the bread and found me a fresh loaf. Chuck is a credit to the organization. The world needs more Chucks.”
