“I recently traveled to the namekagon to do a 75 mile canoe trip... I had called all over for a shuttle, since I owned my own canoe. Pappys prices were less then half of what others in the area were charging. The gentleman that was my shuttle was prompt and very kind. Before we parted ways he told me to contact him if I had any issues... well, a little over halfway through my trip my canoe got a hole punctured in the haul. We were able to make a landing. I called the shuttle, Joe, and he promptly came and got me back to my vehicle. I recommend these guys to anyone...because I know they saved me from a very tough situation.”

“This place is a Diamond in the rough. So small, yet inviting. The owner is working basically everyday. Seems to always have something going on. If you are feeling lucky, challenge the owner to a game of tippy cup!!”

“Best burgers in the area! Seriously so many choices when it comes to their burger selection and you can get many of them as a chicken sandwich instead. We've also tried their Mexican food and pizza. Honestly we weren't too impressed with their pizza but will continue going back for everything else. Just make sure you save room for dessert, they have the most phenomenal cheesecake!”

“I’ve only been here one time so I don’t have the full story/ins and outs of this specific subway, however the oneexperience I did have here was phenomenal. Although they were a little understaffed, the guy making the sandwiches was super friendly. I’ve been getting the same subway order for about a year: Italian bread, turkey breast, shredded mozzarella, pickles, tomatoes, chipotle sauce, and I get it toasted. I really love pickles and so I asked for extra pickles and he actually gave me a lot of pickles so I was very happy with the serving sizes.”

I had the Blanco grilled chicken burrito it was amazing the chicken was tasty and tender, my hubby had the tacos Americana and loved everything about them, staff is wonderful, friendly and superb service! The atmosphere is warm and fun- I highly recommend this place!”

While a lot of the negative comments below seem to relate to the aesthetics of the building, let the haters hate while the rest of us living in reality will continue to enjoy the food. This is local food in a small town. This isn’t a food venue infused with a massive budget for capital improvements. If you expect Edina Southdale, please go there instead. I love this place and continue to find it convenient to stop in and enjoy local food. Turkey burrito is highly recommended.”

“First time in. Went for the fish fry. Very friendly folks, go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. Food was excellent, I had baked, husband had fried fish. Baked potato was perfect, fries, obviously hand cut. Complimentary adult pudding shots with the fish fry, nice touch. Been seasonal up here 40 years. Wish we tried them sooner.”

“Great pizza, friendly service. Stopped in on a Sunday evening on Labor Day weekend while we were camping nearby after searching for a place that was dog friendly. Wow- did they deliver. Pizza was excellent. Devoured every bit of 2 pizzas with 2 adults and 2 twelve year olds. Very dog friendly, owners insisted we try out the doggie playground. The kids also loved checking out the antiques. We’ll be back.”

“Our group of 10 had a good time. Darts, pool, gambling machines, decent selection of beers on tap. Bartenders were friendly. Prices were fair. The margaritas somehow evolved into Tequila Screw Ups...we ordered 3: the first round was normal. The 2nd had a hint of orange in them. The third round was a screw up with tequila. ? We didn't complain because they still tasted good. Lol”

“Never really thought I’d be giving Subway a review, but never have I been to a Subway with such consistently top notch staff. I always drive through, and I’m one who always has the weird order. Always Spicy Italian or Bacon and Egg with a lot of twists. I’ve almost never had to wait for more than the time it would take to make a toasted sandwich, and the person handing me my food always seems to appreciate my business. My grandson wanted to grab a double cheeseburger after hockey practice so we went in I had the quarter pounder deluxe it was a sloppy messy burger and really really really really really really really goodIt's a good job on that one tonight guys then we had three McDoubles that were as good.”
