Alpine Retreat Reviews
Beautiful location, delicious food, and wonderful service! Highly recommend!
12/18/25 First time back since new owners and it was fantastic! Our waitress Eva told us it was a brand new chef that cooked our steaks and they were excellent! Cooked to perfection and the tastiest filet and NY pepper/garlic strip ever! Superb 5 star service (ask for EVA!) Wonderful cozy atmosphere, and watching the turkey and deer right outside the window was amazing! Going back to try the fishfry!
Our first time back since the new owners and we were blown away! I understand there is a new chef, and our steaks were great! We had the filet and pepper/garlic NY strip... perfectly cooked and soooo tasty! Eva was personable, friendly and gave us 5 star service! Coming back for the fish fry soon!

Alpine Retreat is a fantastic restaurant with incredible food and top-notch service. Known for their cowboy ribeye, this place offers consistent and fairly priced steaks that are a must-try. The tenderloin and ribs are also highly recommended. Despite the distance, many are willing to make the hour-long drive for a memorable dining experience at Alpine Retreat. Customers enjoy well-prepared dishes in a lovely setting, with the option to sit at the bar and watch wildlife outside the picture window or cozy up in the dining room for a feast. Classic ice cream forward cocktails, such as the Pink Squirrel, add to the charm. While some mention the steak being very fatty and arriving very rare, surf and turf dishes are appreciated, and the attentive servers make the visit worthwhile. The restaurant is popular enough to require reservations weeks ahead, and many consider it one of their favorite places despite minor issues like needing more help behind the bar. Overall, Alpine Retreat remains a top choice for a memorable meal out.
