Get the fried pickles! Staying in Bessemer MI the last few days and spent today on Lake Gogebic fishing. We needed food and found ourselves at The Upper Block as there are limited options to accommodate the extra holiday traffic efficiently. We were immediately greeted by Trevor, who was the only person working the bar and floor - I counted about 22 people. We are traveling and stopped in for some food. The food was delicious (Philly cheesesteak)! Our bartender, Brandon, was personable and attentive. They have daily specials and I am bummed we won't be here tomorrow (Gyros 😉). We would definitely comeback.
What a great bar! Food was served fast and fresh! The staff were kind and quick to serve. The bathrooms were very clean! The owner was walking around making sure everything and everyone was well taken care. I would definitely come back here. The specials looks good, too!!
