About the drive up.... I called in 30 minutes early, told them I'd be there at 8pm(my lunch), rang and rang the bell that did not seem to work. I've only 20 minutes for lunch, nobody even looked my way for 11 minutes. What is a person to do?
Stopped in with friends to have a fish fry! Loved the potato pancake! Deep fried mushrooms were huge and tasty... batter dipped. That appetizer is good for a party of four! Classic Wisconsin! Loved the tall, old-fashioned cocktails, too!
Very good. You might call it a “dive bar,” but the staff is friendly, the food is good, prices are reasonable, bathrooms are clean, bright and fully functional. Customers are farmers, laborers, singles and couples of all generations, unpretentious, and they don’t care who you are or aren’t. All welcome, come as you are, no dirty looks here.
