Great food, calm atmosphere. We'll be back.

Our first time there in 25 years. I heard the add on the radio, about taco pizza, we tried it and liked it. I will be back to try the reuben.

Had a wonderful family get together awhile ago and we were treated very well by Sue Gray...very accommodating to all of us!

Recommended dishes: Westie Burger, Fried Cheese Curds, Homemade Cheese Curds and Onion Straws

Hanging out on a beautiful Sunday here at Barkleys. They have a great band playing and enjoying food and drinks!

Have been to Barkleys a few times and the food was decent but this time no way to sugarcoat it was awful! From the sides being ridiculous small portions to all the food tasting like week old fryer oil. No hurry to go back.

This is 100% not a dog friendly place.
We had to call in for service, the server was afraid of dogs, they didn’t have dog bowls for water, we had to get our food from the server from the other side of the gate, and was asked to keep our dog on leash and leash in hand in the very small and secluded “dog area” I 1000000% would not recommend this place. We also go the wrong bill and it was apparently our fault? So odd. Don’t wasted your time or money.

Decent place, food was good. Reason we stopped was they had outdoor seating and dogs were allowed in the outdoor seating area.

The food was excellent. Perfectly made to order, hot and delicious. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. Smiled alot and was on top of things. The atmosphere..well that got a little iffy when one of what I assume were regulars there got pretty territorial over a machine I stuck $5 in and made everything very awkward and uncomfortable, needless to say my boyfriend and I left pretty much after that cause it kinda ruined the great time and awesome food we were having. But other than that the food and the staff we great. I woukd definitely recommend to check it out.

This was our first time eating at Barkleys. The food was very good, atmosphere was great! The server might have been new but very friendly. The owner walked around to every table and asked how everything was. We told him it was our anniversary and he bought us a drink!

I ordered 2 fish dinners (cod and shrimp) spent $33 . The fish was small and all breading barely any meat. The shrimp was hard and flat. Very disappointed

Barkleys is a solid choice, some of my favorite fried curds in town. Service is always really good too.

My wife & I popped in to Barkley's on a Thursday night after we checked in to our Janesville lodging just a few minutes away. The parking lot was nearly full @ 6 PM, and the bar & all tables were occupied. But a young lady customer invited us to separate the two tables she had grabbed to share with a couple of late-arriving friends, so we gladly took up her offer. Atmosphere was classic neighborhood tavern, but the conversational noise level & the sports telecast volume were a lower than I expected (a plus). Our table server Brittany took our drink & meal orders, then we waited 20-25 minutes before our food was delivered. My bratwurst & my wife's Chicago Dawg were mediocre but filling, and we were glad we got in & out before the weekly trivia event got started. Barkley's seemed like a good joint for locals to hang out together for a drink & apps, but the food we had would not encourage us to return.
