There is a reason this is the oldest Chinese restaurant in WI. My mind was blown with how amazing everything was. The egg rolls are amazing. The prices are reasonable. Will be returning anytime I want good chinese.

Service was great Amanda was very nice and attentive. Food was horrible. The prices listed on menu aren’t corrected. We got charged 10$ more on each meal than the amount that was on menu. Had a piece of what looked like hair but I think it was a piece of brown plastic or something in noodles. Hot and sour soup was not like any other kind I’ve had, it was very watery and sour. Crab Rangoons soggy. Beef was very fatty. Overall wouldn’t come back again. The egg drop soup was pretty good though. Save your money, don’t risk it.

I love all kinds of Chinese food, so I had to stop by the Cozy Inn during my stop in Janesville. This place reminds me of the Chinese restaurants that I used to go to in the 90s and that’s a good thing. If you want a dose of nostalgia, I highly recommend this place!

This classic old Chinese restaurant was a wonderful gem to find in Wisconsin. The service was great and the setting was beautiful. The food was good. It wasn’t the best but scratched the itch. I felt like the dishes we had were too heavily sauced and not spicy enough. We had Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian beef, and Curry Chicken. We also had egg rolls which were amazing and crab rangoon which was very good. If invited by a friend, I would go again but I won’t suggest up as a place to revisit.

The food looks very vibrant and fresh and tastes as good as it looks, the service is great, and the atmosphere is one of a kind... Highly recommended

I love the esthetics of this place, they have cool round booths and fancy dishware that makes it feel quite posh. The food however... everyone says this place has amazing food and I was rather disappointed. Now I didn't try everything on the menu so don't quote me 100%, but what I tried looked and tasted like frozen chicken that they just put sauce on. 🤷‍♀

Oldest continuously operating Chinese restaurant in the United states. Old school dim restaurant with circular booths. Everything seemed very clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Ordered several appetizers. They were all good, but quite heavy with sodium. Did not try any main entrees. Oolong tea was delicious. Would return again to try an entree in the future.

Recommended dishes: Egg Roll, Hot Mustard

Did you know there were 6 Chinese survivors on the Titanic (yes, that Titanic)? One of them is Fang Lang. This restaurant is owned by Fang Lang’s son, Tom Fong, who’s owned it since 1974. Great food, even better history!
