Wissota Chophouse - Janesville

Been taking family members on their birthday and always a great experience. The food is flavorful and good wine selection. The steaks are cooked perfectly and scallops were delicious. The best mushroom risotto around! The server was extremely pleasant and helpful answering our questions. Our guests will keep going back just like my husband and me.

Usually this is one of our favorite date night spots. This time the alligator was really chewy, the steak was gritty and dry, and the lamb wasn't seasoned as well. The quality of the food was really disappointing. I'm sure we'll be back at some point, but hoping the quality is back to normal.

I would not call the noise level energetic, I would call it deafening. The food was just okay. I would lose g the term fine to ing from the description.

This place is absolutely, gobsmackingly delicious! Every bite was prepared with skill and class. My Huckleberry Old Fashioned was a drink to write about (as you are reading now)! It was a unique take on an old classic.

If that wasn't enough to get you through the door, the service was as top tier as the steak and the drinks! Our waiter was knowledgeable and always there to answer a question or two!

Steak overcooked, caprese wasnt caprese and brought out with Steak. (Waiter forgot). Raspberry Tiramisu was yogurt. Big blob on a plate. Literally zero lady fingers, devoid of shape or texture. Texas Roadhouse would have done better. We are still waiting for the bread that was supposed to come out befor the meal. Charcuterie was pretty good—balance overpriced and under quality for premium price

Affordable for multiple night breakfast woulda been much better but the everything else is on point

I always enjoy my dinners at Wissota. I went with a salad, soup, and an appetizer this time because I wasn't super hungry and it was the perfect amount of food. It was also a really good combination of flavors. The lobster bisque is rich and delicious and a nice size portion. I particularly like the Caesar salad topped with a parmesan crisp and high quality white anchovies. And the corn relish that comes with the crab cakes provides a nice textural contrast to well crisped cakes. I'm always greeted by name when I arrive and the service is consistently good. It's nice being a regular customer and knowing that I'm appreciated. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had a delightful time sitting at the bar and enjoying their happy hour menu and house burger. The food was delicious, Megan was tending bar and was super personable, and the entire establishment was simply relaxing/classy. We loved the deep fried olives! Wow! Fantastic.

We absolutely love everything about our dinner and experience at Wissota! Service is amazing too!

Killer food and a great selection of beers, wines and liquor. Can't go wrong with the Wisitta Wagyu burger.

We had the honey fig goat cheese and the field salad for starters then the sea bass and scallops with roasted asparagus as our main course. It was absolutely delicious!! The honey fig goat cheese was so decadent it would have been a great dessert. The salad was extremely fresh and light so amazing. Then there is the sea bass... Just wow! Perfectly seared and seasoned.. The best I've had in years and better than anywhere in this area!! Now for what brought it all together.. The service.. James was impeccable in his service.. We didn't have a single want that wasn't fulfilled before we knew we needed it. We have been to Wissota on several occasions and this is the first time we had great service and felt the visit was worth going back!! Thank you James for making our date night so special!! In all the times we have been to Wissota this is the first time we had a good review to leave.. we only returned the other 2 times for the carrot cake. However, whoever is now running the kitchen and staff should be proud. The chefs skills and James service was top notch! Thank you again James you made Wissota our new fav!
