Incredible. Atmosphere was very intimate and quiet. The service and staff were very attentive, accommodating, and kind. The food was very good. The crab cakes were crunchy on the outside and very delicate in the middle with excellent flavor. The whipped mashed potatoes were also a delite. The lobster bisque with sherry was also good, not overly salty like some places, and very smooth. we usually like the bisque with more lobster chunks but the flavor was spot on. We both had steaks and they were excellent. we're definitely going back for our next special occasion.

I visited a restaurant in Janesville around 7:15 p.m. for dinner, and overall, it was a mixed experience. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We ordered a bottle of wine, but I was disappointed that it wasn’t chilled and didn’t came with at least a wine bucket or should i say wine chiller. They didn’t even gave us a proper wine glass , so it was a bit underwhelming. The food was just okay my filet mignon was surprisingly tough, especially since it’s a filet. The outside was burnt and tough to cut and on top of that, we didn’t get a steak knife at first just a regular dinner knife, which made cutting a real struggle. Thankfully, the server noticed and brought the correct knife, but that should be standard. My date ordered the lamb chops, and those were actually nicely cooked and flavorful. Then, we ordered a side of asparagus, but those were disappointing the hard stems weren’t removed, so the asparagus was pretty tough and not enjoyable. After that, the dessert was a real letdown. It was served like two giant meatball in the middle of the plate, smothered in raspberry syrup and cream cheese. The presentation was just not good at all. Although it did taste good , I strongly suggest they rename it because there was nothing that made it taste or look like a tiramisu no coffee flavor, no ladyfingers, completely different. At that price, it felt like a bait-and-switch. The atmosphere was quiet about seven tables but for the cost, the service didn’t quite live up. So, it was all right, but I’m not sure I’d return soon.

I happened to be in Janesville and met up with some friends for an early dinner at Wissota Chophouse in Janesville, located inside a hotel on the ground floor. This is a classic hotel-style steakhouse with a more intimate feeling. Good option if you happen to be in the downtown Janesville area.

The service was good and attentive. Our server explained the dishes, proposed cocktails, and also recommended a couple of shared plates. We did get the alligator bites per her recommendation, which come with two sauces. It was good, although I think it is more about the presentation and experience of the dish than the dish itself.

The menu is very straightforward with a number of steaks and various different cuts, along with a couple of seafood dishes. It does seem a little expensive for what it is.

I chose the sea bass in a beurre blanc sauce. The fish itself was very well prepared and the sauce was good, although definitely a little heavy on the butter side. My friend who had the steak said it was a good steak.

What was interesting to me was that neither the steaks nor the seafood come with sides. Those need to be ordered separately and shared for the table, whether that is asparagus, risotto, potatoes, or Brussels sprouts.

Size of the portions seemed a little small for the price, but overall it was a good evening and I would come back if I were ever in Janesville for an early dinner.

Our waiter was attentive. The food was way below expectation. Perhaps one of the worst Porkchops I ever had. I so wanted to like the restaurant. We will not be going back. I did complain and they did not charge us for the pork chop which was commendable . Nothing that any of us got was spectacular or worth the price. We have no problem spending money on good food. Wish we could say we enjoyed the food.

Was there for a business meeting and with it Thursday night, it was not very busy which allowed all of to hear each other throughout dinner. The food was exceptional, and we thought priced very well. All of us had steakes which were cooked to our liking as well as sides, which we all enjoyed.

Stopped in for a couple cocktails, and they were great. Its nice to have a place with quality drinks in janesville. While I didn't eat anything, everything that I saw looked really good. The bar was full, but the staff were still quick and friendly. I will be back for drinks for sure, and will try the food at some point.

This was our first visit; went for a birthday dinner. Steaks were excellent, along with the service. The Happy Hour discounts were a pleasant surprise. Will definitely come back.

A perfect date night spot wit upscale food and beverage choices. Very intimate atomosphere. Great pacing of the meal. Waitstaff was curtious and not overly pushy or absent. Perect with following up on the courses as they came out. All of the food was decadent!

Reserved a week in advance but received low table instead of high. Online menu was deceiving stating available for valentine's but when we arrived only available literally 2/14. Food good, service ok, location has meaning for us as it was our first date spot. We'll be back but be better
