The ladies in the kitchen really know their stuff! The quiet young man that operates the register and does the waitering is honestly so sweet and is genuinely concerned with your happiness with everything while you're there. It's a small family-run business and oftentimes I'll see the grandfather sitting outside smiling and waving to you as you come in. I feel like a family member when I sit down to eat. You can't get that at some big chain restaurant. I highly recommend you come here and experience this for yourself! Fair prices for some of the best Mexican food ever....and let's not forget the amazing service and cleanliness of this establishment. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

A hole in a wall establishment that surprises the senses and is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Kenosha.

Tiny and drive by you miss it but make the effort to experience great food.

Food is delicious every time. Service is friendly. They make everything to order, it’s 3 Mexican grandmas cooking in the back. Wish they had margaritas.

I don't have a photo to show you but on September 25, I bought two gorditas of chicken dough, they were so delicious, and an Agua de Jamaica, that's why I give it 5 stars.

This place serves authentic Mexican food. I had the chile pasilla with steak, rice and beans. It was just like my Mom makes. Will always come back for more!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Kenosha. Delicious and consistent food. Service is always great, and sometime, you can hear those in the kitchen singing, so they are happy, and the food they serve reflects this. Great place, don't ever change.

La Fe Café was amazing! Refried beans, authentic rice, coffee, handmade gorditas, and enchiladas full of flavor and cheese. You can tell the ladies in the back have experience and put real passion into the food, they truly care about what they serve. The young man serving us was very kind and respectful. It’s affordable and a nice little gem in Kenosha. It even reminds me of my Guanajuato. Can’t wait to go back!

Possibly the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Prices were much lower than I expected, especially for how good the food was.

Some people have mentioned the ambiance as an opportunity. I couldn’t disagree more. To me it was relaxing. Quiet.

Also, complimentary chips and salsa. Excellent salsa. On the spicy side, which I liked. Their green salsa is spicier yet and equally as delicious.

Authentic Mexican Flavors with Room for Ambience Improvement

I would have rated this place a solid five stars if not for the ambience. Don’t get me wrong—many people enjoy a quiet, tranquil dining experience, but this restaurant takes it a bit too far. It could really benefit from some soft background music to create a livelier atmosphere and enhance the overall experience. With just a bit more noise, it could become a perfect five-star lunch spot for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s absolutely outstanding! I give it five stars without hesitation. This place delivers exactly what it promises: authentic, homemade Mexican dishes prepared from scratch. The flavors are reminiscent of what your grandmother might serve in a traditional Mexican household. They cook with pork lard, which adds a unique and rich taste to their food, making every bite memorable.

I particularly recommend their potosinas—a delicious twist on the classic quesadilla. And if you visit, don’t miss their champurrado; it’s simply amazing and the perfect complement to their dishes.

If you’re looking for genuine Mexican flavors in a homely setting, this is the place to go. Once they add a bit more ambience, it will undoubtedly become a five-star favorite!
