Favorite LaCrosse restaurant….
Excellent dinner and service! 4 Sisters was able to accommodate a party of 50 with 24 hours notice. The food was incredible. My table had tenderloin, bacon wrapped chicken bites, spinach artichoke dip, and grilled cheese dippers and every single dish was delicious. Our servers were friendly, helpful, and on top of everyone's needs. I can't wait to go back!

We visited during a recent trip to LaCrosse. It was within walking distance of our hotel and sounded like a good time. We ordered the following tapas: the macaroni and cheese, the grilled cheese dippers, bacon wrapped chicken, and bang bang shrimp tacos. Our favorite was the macaroni and cheese, but they were all tasty! If you do not want tapas, they do have entree dish options as well. Service was great, and we had no issue getting a table on a Friday night as a walk-in. Olivia was our server. She was attentive and very friendly. I would recommend checking this place out if you are in the area. We will definitely be back next time we are in LaCrosse.

My husband and I were in La Crosse this weekend and decided on 4 Sisters for tapas. We got there for a late lunch and even though it was very busy, we were seated on the patio right away. We decided to sit outside because the talking inside was very loud and my husband and I wouldn’t have been able to converse. Although the music on the patio was not necessary, in our opinion, we could at least talk over it.
We were greeted and brought waters and my husband ordered a beer. For tapas we decided on the stuffed peppadews, bang bang nachos with carnitas, the chorizo stuffed dates, and the ahi tuna bites. We thought the food came out very fast!! The peppadews were sweet with a little kick complemented by the goat cheese. They were a great little bite. The dates were a bit heavy for a hot day but tasty nonetheless. Again, well-balanced. The ahi tuna bites were our least favorite of the bunch although there was nothing particularly wrong with them— we got ours in cucumber slices — and I think the cucumber slices were a bit big and dominated slightly. I’d get these again but maybe order them on the pitas (I think that was the other option). The nachos were yummy with a tasty corn salsa. We devoured all of our food and left happy and satisfied. We would definitely stop for the food again.
Our server was great in the beginning but near the end of our meal we were waiting a long time for her.
For us, the food was fantastic and outweighed the atmosphere and service hiccups.

Yum on all accounts! The only downside is it is pretty pricey. However, the bottomless mimosas on Saturdays 11-2 are hard to beat at only $12. One side of the menu is shareable tapas and the other side is full meals. I absolutely loved the avocado blackened shrimp bites. Everyone loved what they ordered. The service is quick, and it's a good place for a larger group because they take reservations. Highly recommend!

Was there with my golf 4some. We sat at the bar and had great service. I had the dates stuffed with chorizo, wrapped in bacon, and smothered with BBQ sauce. Yummmmy! Also, the Thai chicken pizza is amazing. Washed it down with a lovely vodka tonic with a lime. Fun atmosphere found here!

I try to start any restaurant review with the positives. I’m sure one of the reasons people like this place is the modern restaurant and the river views. Well maintained and clean with a nice looking patio area.
So we went tonight, at 7. We were seated within 20-25 minutes which wasn’t that bad because it was very busy. We were seated and it took 25 or so minutes before the waiter came. He brought water when he came and we were of course ready to order as we had been there for almost 30 min.
As a table we got the grilled cheese dippers, the pepper jelly and pita chips and the fish tacos. I tried the grilled cheese dippers, the bread was grilled but very dry, the cheese was good but almost too rich. 1/2 of one was enough for me. The vodka marinara was ok too but not enough for all the dry bread.
The pepper jelly and cream cheese was ok but nothing special, I did take the rest home with me.
The fish tacos were very bland and tasteless. The cod was probably steamed I’m guessing? No color on it and it didn’t seem to be sautéed in anything. They say it comes with “salsa” but it’s really more of a simple pico. The tortillas were not grilled but raw and tasteless. Honestly all I could really taste was cilantro and an essence of peppers. The fish was BLAND. I suggest pan frying to add some color and adding some spicy seasoning as they are tacos. Maybe some butter and lemon or lime after it’s been pan fried.
The waiter seemed like a nice guy and he was clearly overwhelmed but the service took a long time. I had to ask for some small plates to share, ask for a water refill, he didn’t stop by again after we got the food and when I said we didn’t like the tacos we weren’t offered another dish or any discount. We ate almost two of the four but they are very small (which I know is the concept) it’s hard to see but the tacos are about the size of a rim of a short glass.
One cocktail was ordered (a double in a short glass) and one mocktail also in a short glass. There was probably 3 oz of actual liquid in each glass.
The bill was $70 which isn’t terrible but I had about 6 bites of food in total.
I almost always tip 20 percent or more last server I had I left a $20 but I will pay for the service I get which in this case was less then 10 percent.
I don’t think I will be going there again but it seems other people like it.

Extremely overpriced and very bland. Very disappointing, it also took over one and a half hours to get our food.

A saltine cracker has more of a complex flavor profile than this. We got fish tacos on an ungrilled tortilla with cod that had literally no seasoning and had absolutely 0 flavor whatsoever, clearly not even having been cooked in butter. I got a $5 MOCKTAIL that was served in a shot glass and filled half-way with ice, in two sips I had just drank $5. It also took 30 minutes to just get our water and two hours to get our extremely overpriced, underwhelming food. Yet another fake "gourmet" restaurant that charges a million dollars for the most basic, tasteless food imaginable just because they serve it on a bathroom floor tile and have wine on the wall. Don't waste your time or money.

4 sisters catered our wedding reception in La Crosse. Over a year ago we did a tasting with them and all the food was delicious. My wife and I are vegetarian and they did a great job in catering to our needs. We ended up ordering a vegetarian taco/nacho buffet and a charcuterie board with no meat.
This is where the pleasantries will end. Fast forward to our wedding reception day. We walk into the venue and the first thing we notice are multiple platters of meat on our charcuterie board. Tough start to the night…….as we were wanting a meat free wedding. To us, eating vegetarian is a very important value and seeing the meat was pretty devastating. Next, the power temporary went out (due to a nasty storm) so we weren’t able to use the nacho cheese machine (something we paid for). Lastly, the leftovers were thrown away when we were told that they’d be packaged up.
Coming to present day. We just got off the phone with our caterer contact, Jessica. We would have been fine with an apology and a small refund on the food that wasn’t used and the meat. Even with all that happened, Jessica was not willing to refund us for even a small portion of our bill and even insinuated that it was our fault for not confirming with her that we didn’t want meat on the charcuterie board. She wasn’t willing to take responsibility for THEIR mistake. We even have it in our wedding notes to ask about a meatless charcuterie board- which we did discuss with her at our tasting. She then had the audacity of saying that we should have noticed on the invoice that it said “Charcuterie board” instead of “Charcuterie board without meat”. There was NO WAY that we would have known that!!
All our other vendors sent us a partial refund for the services that weren’t provided because of the power outage even though they had no control over the weather. That is how business is done.
4 sisters catering decided to blame us for the charcuterie board, nacho cheese, and leftover food. They decided to take no responsibility for the night.
We would have been fine with a $100 refund for the nacho cheese. Even though the total cost that we already paid for and was wasted on the day over was substantially more. Lack of responsibility is not how quality businesses operate. I would avoid using 4 sisters and Jessica for your next event.
If weather permits, try to sit out on the patio that overlooks Riverside Park it’s absolutely delightful. This service was excellent and the food was a smash! We got the Aji tuna bites and the bang bang nachos with a choice of shrimp. And for drinks, we did a Mojito flight that comes with three options of flavors as well as a Moscow mule flight. That also comes with three options of flavors. It was a wonderful evening. Looking forward to my next visit there.
