I've been to dozens of luxury hotel properties and I was genuinely shocked at the level of service at this boutique hotel. Every person we met was incredibly personable and genuinely a pleasure to speak with. No request was an inconvenience. This was to be our first stop on a road trip out west. La Crosse might have been worth a more extended stay and The Charmant Hotel would have been the highlight of the trip. The hotel location is directly adjacent to a delight riverfront park where Viking Cruise river boats dock and disembark guests. Absolutely the most charming coffee shop you will ever find. Don't let the high end look and feel of the place fool you, the people that work here are super friendly and down to earth. I came in wearing my work overalls and they were extremely pleasant. Cappuccino was great.
