Lounges in La Crosse, WI

“If you want to know what mid century mod design was - you can get a feel for it at the Starlight Lounge. The retro look is pretty much spot on. Service was efficient, beverage list is more than sufficient - and prices are reasonable, esp if one partakes during Happy Hour. Decor is getting a little dinged & they need to stay on top of vacuuming the stairwell & using a ladder to clean the thick dust on the window ledge in the entry way. First (& second) impressions matter & cleanliness should always be a priority. Aside from that - it's a fun stop for a step back in time. Oh - one more thing - we are from another state & when we perused the beverage menu we had to stop and think - are we really in Wisconsin? There is not an Old Fashioned on the menu! Yes, you can still order one but we were perplexed that it isn't listed on the cocktail menu. EVERY bar in Wisc should note an Old Fashioned on their beverage menu! Cheers!“
