Absolutely amazing experience! The menu never disappoints. Our server, Amber, was able to answer all of our questions in detail and was extremely attentive and kind. Fine dining experience with a much more calm/casual atmosphere. Sagra is by far our favorite in La Crosse. Will always recommend!

Love all the new changes to a La Crosse staple building. They food was fantastic and good cocktails. Pricey, but you're paying for quality. Can tell the pasta is fresh, which for this area is so refreshing.

Had the 5 course seasonal meal. 10/10 experience. Kind staff, quiet and relaxed ambience. And the food was fantastic. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner a delicious and intimate experience. We will definitely be back.

We (two people) got the market menu, which is a 5 course meal for $58 each. When we asked what was on the menu, the waitress said it was a surprise. We did it to see how it was as it was recommended by a friend.
When the food came out, the first course was 2 pieces of bread with topping. Second course was a salad similar to beets and berries shared between two people ($14). Third course was one serving of Eggplant puttanesca ($24). Fourth course was one walleye Milanese ($34). Dessert was one mezzanotte ($10). There were some handmade chocolates and petit fours at the end which was nice.
We were just surprised that each course was just one portion shared by two people. If you add up the prices from the menu, it totaled roughly $82. I would argue that the bread and some treats at the end are not worth the price difference of $34. I wish the restaurant was just upfront about the menu and the portions but the market menu is not worth the price. Food was solid but we will not be coming back.

Ordered the tasting menu and the food runners didn’t even know what was in each dish. Of the 5 dishes including dessert, 3 had mint. The pasta course was undercooked and the eggplant in it was salted but not rested prior to undercooking it. The fried fish was tasty, but definitely wasn’t salted after coming out of the frier and no lemon was served with it. I ordered a bourbon old fashioned and it was way too sweet to where I couldn’t taste the alcohol. Then when the bill came they charged for an extra glass of wine and said “didn’t you drink it?” I said no, I asked you not to bring it since you didn’t bring it with the previous course and dessert was up next. Good concept, and I know many have had great experiences including my friend who suggested it.

A gem in the midwest! The food was exceptional. Some of the best flavors in every dish. My partner ordered the walleye and unfortunately it was way over cooked and inedible. The manager graciously discounted
Couple dishes. But everything else was prepared to perfection. If you're a foodie you do not want to miss eating at Sagra!

Phenomenal the vodka pasta was amazing we will be definitely be back again it was delicious
Sagra is an Italian Eatery above Piggy’s on Front Street in La Crosse. It was recommended to us by several residents. It did not disappoint. We started with an Arancini appetizer. We have had arancini before, but NEVER like this. It’s the best we have ever had. Instead of being rice heavy, it was cheese heavy. They were almost like a Wisconsin cheese curd. The pecorino, a mixture of Italian cheeses, was melty and delicious, especially dipped in the buttermilk dipping sauce. We also ordered the special appetizer, fried wax beans. The breading was very light, almost like tempura. The dipping sauce added the flavor. They were good, but the Arancini definitely stood out. For entrees we got a crawfish dish and a chicken dish. Both were generous portions, which allowed us to have leftovers for lunch the following day. The Crawfish Fra Diavola was filled with crawfish and was very flavorful with fresh ingredients. The Chicken Scarpariello was delicious. The polenta was rich and creamy. The chicken comes bone in and skin on, which keeps it juicy. This dish also had Italian sausage and fresh vegetables. I really enjoyed the Italian sausage as a contrast to the chicken. The only disappointment was when we asked the waitress what 5 dishes were on the “chef’s market menu,” she didn’t know and really wouldn’t elaborate. I wanted to try that, but at $58 per person, the requirement for full table participation, and no information, I wasn’t willing to take the chance.
Food was too beautiful not to take a picture! The appetizer we got had these wonderful scallion flowers.
Alla vodka was very good I ordered it without the meatballs to make it vegetarian.
Pistachio dessert was also delicious! 10/10
Classy dining- eclectic menu- delicious food!
Don’t expect any menu items from Olive Garden.
It was a bit different when deciding on what dish to order. Their menus change depending on fresh available ingredients.
We had 2 people, ordered2 dishes and shared. Delicious.
We had the salted caramel tiramisu! Wonderful! Plan to splurge on dessert!
This is upstairs, I think an elevator was there in the building.
Staff were friendly- decor was interesting. Dining room had good natural light from large windows. Seated both large and small groups.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Sagra! Excellent food, service and drinks. The Alla Vodka pasta is my favorite! Always a changing menu and frest ingredients. It's nice that they take reservations as well. Highly recommend.
