Barrique Bistro & Wine Bar is a cozy restaurant with a great wine list and delicious food. Customers enjoy the fresh and tasty dishes, such as crab cakes, salmon Caesar salad, and seafood bisque. The presentation is nice, and the staff is friendly and quick. The outdoor dining area offers a beautiful view of the lake. While prices may be a bit high, the quality of the food makes it worth it. Guests have praised the amazing flavors and freshness of the soups and rice bowls offered during Restaurant Week.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, with a small setting by the lake that provides a peaceful escape from the busy surroundings. The service is excellent, with attentive and helpful waitstaff and cooks. The charcuterie board is delicious, served with freshly baked warm bread. Customers also appreciate that the restaurant can cater to dietary restrictions, offering gluten-free options.
The wait staff is consistently friendly and attentive, making visits enjoyable. Food is always fresh, and drinks are cold and well-made. The outdoor patio is a lovely place to relax, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon when there is minimal wait, even though service may take a little longer during peak times. The smoked salmon platter is a personal favorite, described as absolutely delicious. Guests also enjoy the variety of drinks, like the rosé flight, which is refreshing on hot days.
However, there was a disappointing experience with an advertised appetizer. A table card showed a glass of sparkling wine with three potato chips topped with crème fraiche and caviar, but only one chip was served. When asked, staff responded, "the picture lies," which upset the customer. The restaurant is known for its good quality food and drinks, and most customers find the overall experience enjoyable. Parking can be a challenge, especially during summer, but free street parking or parking lots nearby allow visitors to enjoy the beautiful lake surroundings.
