My husband and I recently took a weekend getaway to Lake Tomahawk, WI, and as food lovers with a particular fondness for Asian cuisine, we always make it a point to try out local spots. I stumbled upon this gem and, despite my husband being a bit of a food critic, I was determined to give it a shot. To our surprise, it exceeded both of our expectations—yes, even my husband’s!

I’ll start by saying the staff were really lovely and knowledgeable. The food was good, but maybe not great. We had the sliced red pork and it was just okay, served with a fairly ordinary mustard dip. The pho was huge and impressive, broth was flavorful and the ribeye was nice too. Our was missing the egg but the sever gave us eggs to go with our leftovers. My husband enjoyed the shrimp stir fry though only around 4 shrimp in there but they were a good size. I had the green...

Brandon knows what he’s doing. The atmosphere, service, and food was excellent. If you’re looking for an amazing experience, visit the Gaslight tavern. There is nothing comparable to it in the Northwoods. Nobody knows flavor and presentation like Brandon. Try everything and anything that this place offers, it’s truly amazing, you won’t be disappointed.
