Amazing little breakfast place in Lake Tom. Was semi-busy on a Thursday morning! 6 large fellas, seated quickly, and had leftover food..shocking! Super kind wait staff. Love this place.
Watch out for the 5$ mini pitcher of syrup. My wife happened to be facing away from the fine print note on the greaseboard mentioning the 5$ “locally sourced maple syrup 5$). I was in the restroom when our food came out and found the syrup next to my plate. I shortly heard the waitress ask another table if they wanted to try the locally sourced syrup (no mention of the up charge). I asked my wife if the waitress had said anything about a 5$ upcharge when she offered the locally...
Cannot recommend this place enough. Stopped in for breakfast with a group of 7 on a Sunday morning and we were blown away by Village Cafe. The food and drinks were amazing (the pancakes, breakfast burritos, and corned beef hash were all standouts), and the service was very friendly. The place is also well-decorated and very clean, including the bathrooms, which were immaculate. This is a hidden gem in tiny Lake Tomahawk, and is worth the drive from other nearby cities.
