“We had an incredible stay at Sunrise Lodge and truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. We called just 30 minutes before arriving during a major winter storm, and the owners immediately took care of us — no stress, no hesitation. They secured us an amazing unit and were even able to accommodate a very late checkout, which made a huge difference for our family. What stood out most was the hands-on, genuinely caring ownership. When we briefly lost power due to the storm (which affected the entire area), they personally checked on guests and even dropped off fresh cookies. That small but thoughtful gesture meant so much, especially with kids, and perfectly sums up the level of hospitality here. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the lodge is spotless and comfortable, and the food selections are excellent, with thoughtful accommodations for special dietary needs. If you’re traveling with family and want a place where hospitality is real, proactive, and heartfelt, Sunrise Lodge is truly special. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Northwoods.”

“I have had a musky group of 30 the 2nd week of October for 3 years. The staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly,fun and carry positive attitudes. The food and drink is awesome , we all hang out at the bar , no need to go anywhere else. The best resort in Wisconsin, and the fishing is fantastic Bob Prosser”

“i was wondering if boars nest was still up and boaring. last visit was 1982 when i was with the Monroe tug a-war. we did some workouts at the M-cello park then after to Boar's nest for pitchers of Blatz.”

“This store is much improved from when it was Nordine's. Less expensive than Charlie's market in Land o lakes. There is a restaurant in the plaza, which we did not go to and Google has not yet got the message that they are two separate places (same ownership).”

“I love this place! The outdoor deck overlooks the lake with spectacular views you can’t get in town. I was able to bring my dog and I saw many families. They have a large assortment of drinks and the food I had was delicious. Prices are in line with all the restaurants in the area. If you have a boat there is a large dock.”

“There on a Thursday night; had the Smoked Meatloaf with Baby Reds and maybe Asparagus. Outstanding meal. Top 10 for me over the last 15-20 years. Would eat it once a week. Fun place with a large bar, good tap-beer selection, good service, and plenty of room to sit.”
