8/9/13 We rode into Monticello and came across the Boar's Nest. It's been in business for 50 years according to the stepson of the owner Gerri (deceased). The son's wife was bartending. His wonderful elderly mother and current owner were at the bar with good friends. They had free popcorn and a jukebox full of country and rock classics. i was wondering if boars nest was still up and boaring. last visit was 1982 when i was with the Monroe tug a-war. we did some workouts at the M-cello park then after to Boar's nest for pitchers of Blatz.
