“We stopped in the Friday after Thanksgiving. This place was everything we love about small town bars. The owner was behind the bar and she was everything you want in a bar owner, kind, friendly and easy to talk to. Could have stayed all day without a problem. We had the cajun breaded bluegill that was fantastic (order double coleslaw, its that good). Honestly one of the best bar experiences we have had in a long time. Will absolutely be back.”

“We got lucky stopping here for lunch! The warm, rustic ambience and the friendly welcoming we received was a nice reprieve from driving! For starters we ordered cheese curds - a Wisconsin must. And we were NOT disappointed! They were served piping hot with a light breading and ranch dressing. Our main was the day’s special, French Dip. It, too, was delicious. the beef was piled high and tender served on a sub roll with plenty of au jus. We were able to split it and have a full meal each. The bathrooms were immaculate. The Grill has a full bar with rotating draft specials, appetizers, sandwiches, pizza and main entrees all reasonably priced. We left to friendly goodbyes, satisfied stomachs and “please stop by again”. When in the area we will definitely be back.”

“Last night I decided to go to The Black Otter for take out. I got the deep fried haddock. The portions were big which was nice. The fillets were flaky and melted in your mouth. Hands down the best fish I’ve had in a while anywhere. Very impressed. Thank you for the awesome food! Although I knew I wouldnt be disappointed anyway. “I have been a customer for over 40 years. We picked up 6 dozen buns for a party yesterday and they honestly are disappointing. They truly taste a day old, dry and brittle to the cut. What happened to your squishy buns? Just disappointed maybe next time they will be better.”

“We just moved to the area and were looking for a "coney" style restaurant and this is it. I ordered the veggie omellette with the red potatoes and rye toast. All were very good and portions were NOT stingy! I can't wait to try their authentic gyro! My husband ordered the gyro omelette with the red potatoes and pancakes. He loved all too and said, " Glad we found our new home diner."”
