Being Lao, I really wanted to like this restaurant. The restaurant name is simple but clever. The reason for the three stars is really just around the fact it is overpriced for the portion. The Laab had good flavor but was 2-3 times more ($32!) than other local places in nearby Milwaukee. Also, we had to order three separate orders of the papaya salad because the portion was much smaller than what we're used to getting. The food itself had good flavor and was more towards...
Not a bad experience but nothing out of this world. Dumplings were amazing as an appetizer and I highly recommend them. The Red Curry was nothing wild though. Pretty mild flavors and nothing that is worth $18 in my opinion. The bill turned out to be $40 for these two items. Quite a pricey dinner.

It can be hard to find good Asian food in Madison, and while Ahan isn't authentically one cuisine, it's my favorite restaurant here.
The Praram Long Song and Red Curry Udon are amazing. The fried chicken with the peanut sauce is amazing, and an extra point for using chicken thigh in their chicken dishes. The lunch specials are also amazing!
