“You know the food is going to be delicious, when you hear the pressure cooker releasing steam in the kitchen. And the items we ordered did not disappoint.

We ordered Ngoethuk, Mothuk, Tingmo, and the famed butter tea. Ngoethuk (chow mein) comes with a side of delicious broth. The hearty Mothuk (dumplings in a soup) warms the soul. The spice levels are adjustable for all items.

Although savory, we saved the butter tea and the Tingmo (rolled steamed bread) for “dessert”.

The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, yet welcoming. It feels like I am at my friend’s house and their parents are feeding us.

We have been there twice now and always look forward to going back to try out their other menu items.“

“Great place for hearty and comforting, delicious noodle soups! The service is fast and you get a large portion of the soup with lots of protein hard to finish in one go. We had the rice noodle soup with bang bang chicken (hot, beware) and coconut red curry flavored rice noodle soup (mild, easy). Both had excellent comforting flavors with a good heat. Will highly recommend, especially during winters!“

“This place beats every Asian food,( my opinion) also I am really picky with food and that's for sure!
I been in Wisconsin for 5 years and half, and I love Asian food. I never find a place that hook me up and I TRY other places.... but no one beat Kato's Canjun. Their are amazing, delicious and they are always kind 😊 if you need samples they will give you samples so you know what you're going to eat. Great customer service! Great food, my veggies always fresh and crunchy, food always hot and delicious 🤤 😋! Staff amazing and friendly! My meal is always half and half,( rice & noodles), yummy chicken and Kato's chicken!!! With an egg roll they are always fresh and delicious too!

When someone ask me for Asian food I always recommend Kato's on the east town Mall!!!

“Delicious food with many vegetarian options, the veg wontons were delicious with their chili sauce; also the veg fried dumplings. The cold peanut noodles were the tastiest! I’d never had bao before, and thought the pork bao was interesting and pretty good, but didn’t care for all the dough; I think if you like bao, you’d be very happy with it. The iced teas were very good, also.“

“Ginger root’s sesame chicken is the BEST in the world!! Have been to this place after a long time and the taste is still the same! It was nostalgia for me visiting this place having this entree . The veggie fried rice was too dry and not up to the mark. But overall nothing like the sesame chicken here“

“Best poke place in Madison. Period. Everything is always super fresh and they really top your bowl to the brim. I love that they don't have a limit on toppings so I don't have to choose between all my favorites. Even though a bowl is pretty filling, I always save room for their shaved ice or pineapple dole whip.
