Friendly bar trying to get back on it's feet after the pandemic. Stop in and give them your support.

Big, quiet, with a knowledgeable and friendly bartender. And they have trivia Thursday nights.

This place offers an extensive selection of unique beers. You can buy anything from a single can/bottle to a growler. The entire place is dog friendly which is a major selling point for me. My pup and I are regulars. The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The place is small yet cozy with a trendy vibe. Highly recommend stopping by for your next round or to pick up brews to try at home.

One of the best beer spots in Madison. When you walk into BarleyPop, you see a few beer fridges packed with stellar Midwest and beyond selections, from singles to 4 or 6 packs. When you look on the opposite wall, you see a gigantic collection of single bottles and cans from a huge variety of top-tier breweries. If you are looking for a mixed 6 pack of a variety of beers, the singles wall should be your stop! The variety ranges from selzer, to sours, to IPAs, to barrel aged brews. Oh yeah, they also have one of the best tap selections in Madison. They are always changing it up, with solid breweries. You can get crowlers or growlers to go. Pre-Covid, it was one of the best places to get small pours of really great beer. It's still my go-to beer destination to find my standard favorites and find those new flavors and breweries that I didn't know I needed in my life! They have a few outdoor seating spots to grab a pint and enjoy the Atwood neighborhood! Looking to gift or gift yourself some beer? BarleyPop is your answer!

Interior rework is great, looks like the other barleypop which is a good thing. Space is of course a bit small and the acoustics were oddly super loud for just trivia...Most importantly the beer. The selection is always good but some of the pricing was absolutely outrageous. I understand bigger, less common beers are more expensive by nature but dear god $10 for a pale ale from Brewing Projekt, a single pint of Psuedo Sue, or $12 for a 10oz BBA Stout? What the hell happened? Being on the square means prices can nearly double?

Great karaoke! I had a great time!

First off, they only serve beer. While their selection is large, some people like a mixed drink (myself.) Luckily The Paradise is next door! Second...I went to this place to watch some bands, get some drinks. I found out they have pinball and was excited to play those. Turns out they stage the bands right in front of 5 new pinball tables, making pinball inaccessible. What a waste of fun and a money making opportunity for them. Third, The Frequency was better

Just a different location than the original. Same great beers, great staff, and it gathers some great people!

A fun place to go for trivia on Thursdays. A bit pricey but it's off the square so that's to be expected. Also, more beer choices than I've ever had in my life.
