Our dinner here was excellent. We stopped in during the week for a quick dinner. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us multiple times during our visit. The food was delicious, and we will plan to visit here again soon.

Service was a touch slow, but the food was great. The salsa with the chips and salsa was good… not too spicy, but not bland either. The chicken Hippie BBQ chimi was delicious, and always has been. Great restaurant with great food.

Dropped in with a friend and got the birria fries, a sampling of tacos, and the churros. Everything was super good, but if I had to recommend one thing the birria is perfect.

First time ever going to a Mexican restaurant that doesn't give out chips and salsa. Our waiter took a long time coming to take our drink order. It was a steady pace that night for them too. The fajitas were bland so we needed to add more sauce to it to taste better. Otherwise everything else was good.

As someone who was born and raised eating authentic Cali-Mexican food in Southern California, this is the spot. A hidden gem in Dane county, you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere that seasons their carnitas this well, doesn’t skimp on proteins, and generally knows exactly what they are doing.
Flavors are incredible, and that may be something that those who are used to foods being unseasoned and lack flavor might not appreciate.
There is a growing scene of good quality Mexican food in Madison, and this definitely bolsters the ranks of true authentic food.
