An ok hotel bar and restaurant. Ordered a martini without asking for the price and was shocked to discover it was 24$. I have been to the best bars in the world and never paid so much for a dirty gin martini.

Just had the best lunch here! Even on a Badger GameDay, the staff was so attentive and friendly. Thank you to Tom, Naomi, Aaron, Patrick, and Kelsey!!! The bistro burger was amazing! Highly recommend that to everyone as well as the BLT wrap, and the cheese curds! Definitely would recommend this to anyone coming through Madison!!

When I say the food is way overpriced for what you get, it's WAY overpriced. I ordered the lemon chicken pasta. There was no sauce with this pasta. Without chicken they charge $21. With a few strips of grilled chicken they charge an additional $6. Whoever runs this place decided that cooking sone pasta and throwing in some rubbery chicken and a lemon was worth $27. I cannot believe that was the meal I received. Will not be going back. They clearly are trying to fool people into believing this place was upscale. We didn't order any drinks but those prices....ouch. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, go elsewhere. Overpriced hotel food, decor was not any different than the restaurant. I should have read the Yelp reviews before deciding to give it a chance. The photos, menu, and marketing are very deceiving in that they make the restaurant seem a lot more upscale than it actually is. Overpriced food that lacked any effort to make up for the high cost. Service was mediocre at best. I'm sorry I had to pay my bill.

Strictly drinks. Be careful and make sure you look at the prices when you order. We got a martini and was shocked to see a $24 charge on the bill for it. Like, that is super fancy Los Angeles restaurant prices. Not Madison corporate hotel prices.

Best breakfast buffet for a hotel. Not free though. Nice workers. Nice decor. Inside the Doubletree Hotel so very convenient.

Katherine was a great bartender! She had a lot to manage & she did it flawlessly and professionally. I appreciate her service for the Bistro and the hotel as a whole- an experience maker!

Ordered two martinis and was charged $48!?!?!? They tried to say by ordering Tito's that I got twice the amount of alcohol (I did not). This is Madison not NY. Only writing this review so someone else will know ahead of time.

Had the sangria sorbet slushy with drunken strawberries and it was amazing. Great service, great food and great people too!

I was looking forward to a return to Madison after 30 years or so since I last visited. We were more than pleasantly surprised/welcomed back with a bar stop here. Aaron, the bartender, is an excellent mixologist, but is as well an ambassador for Moody Tongue beers. Check these beers out! You’ll get a chuckle out of Aaron and the curds are top notch too.
