We ate here Sunday, March 10th. There was only one server, and he was taking care of about 10 tables at once, plus the bar, plus bussing, etc. Please hire more servers! He was very nice and was working very hard. Please give him a raise! /// As for the food, it was VERY tasty, very delicious. (I just wish there were more vegan options, as there are almost none. Even the bread is not vegan we found out.) /// One suggestion: When ordering, please ask the server to repeat the order, to make sure there is no miscommunication. /// Dear Buraka: Please hire more servers! You are a popular restaurant, and one server is NOT enough! You need AT LEAST four or five servers at a time.

The food is amazing, some of our favorites was the beef samosas ( oh the sauce to dip them in.. YUM), the lentil salad was so refreshing, and the tibs firfir with the injera was incredible! The service was so great, they were so inviting and quick. Oh and the mango drink and ginger beer were so delicious as well!

I thought the food was interesting. Not really my taste. My friends had the fish fry and thought it was one of the best they've ever had.

The food was unbelievably superb. The beef and chicken were wonderfully seasoned and incredibly tender. The dishes also had the perfect amount of spiciness. The price range makes this an excellent place to visit.

Had chicken and peanut stew, was absolutely fantastic. Most dinner dishes run about $15-20, service is good. Will definitely be coming back for more.

As a home chef, I’ve cooked and been to many different Ethiopian restaurants and this is BY FAR the worst. The gap between this and the second worst would be astronomically large. Not only that, it’s the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at - period. The mesir has no flavor, and super watery. Wrong color and texture. Using potatoes and carrots to add to the dish which aren’t authentic to mask small, cheap and unsavory portions. Injera has poor taste, not authentic at all.It tastes like they don’t even use the correct and base ingredient Kibbeh (spiced butter). Small portions, and the cold lentil salad dish they give is just screaming F you to their own culture.DO NOT eat at this place. It’s a straight disappointment and a bad representation of Ethiopian food… I seriously can’t believe my taste buds were this disrespected.000

The coconut curry chicken was unique but really good. I also liked the yebeg alicha. Beautiful patio space. Recommend as a fun spot for a casual night out with some friends. Solid wine list too.

The lamb was tough and stale, and the food overall didn't look like or taste like in other Ethiopian restaurants. The menu is very limited to begin with, and the service was very inattentive even though there was hardly anyone else there. It was surprising that there were no combination injera platters on offer.

I highly recommend the Dorowot or the Chicken Coconut Curry as well as the Duck Wontons. The cocktails are fantastic. Carsten served us and he was lovely and friendly. I’m glad to have this establishment in our community.

I used to love Buraka but it was not good the last few times I went. Not that it's awful, but I'd rather wait and get Ethiopian elsewhere. :(

The food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. However, the only way to actually get what you ordered is to go in and sit down. Ordering online has led to so many problems. Three times I've ordered a meal with a dessert from here and only gotten the meal. I'm becoming less and less likely to order from here. So many times they'll screw something up on the online orders.

For the most authentic experience, we recommend getting a family platter: a tray spread with injera bread, and topped with your choice of menu items. It doesn't show up on the menu - you have to ask about it. With just two people, it was probably more food than we needed, but we enjoyed it immensely! Street parking for this restaurant can get very challenging, especially if there's a festival going on. Plan accordingly.
