Came to eat here in Madison today, told we couldn’t get a burger with no bun because the don’t allow modification. As a person with celiac disease we would get violently sick eating gluten, so we had to leave because they wouldn’t serve us food without a bun. We were so excited to try the food, instead we just left with a bad taste in our mouth! How disappointing

The specialty is chicken, and it's mighty fine. I had the regular chicken sandwich, fries, and a cookies and cream milkshake. Nothing needed extra seasoning, and honestly you could eat the fries without any condiments. There was a water cooler too, and the only criticism I could have is adding a little bit of ice so it isn't room temp. The bathroom is clucking fun to view, too.

Food, Service, and atmosphere were excellent! The chicken sandwich was fresh and very tender. Try their cheese curds and chicken tenders with some honey mustard dip. They have a new product they are testing called roasted shishito peppers, and they are awesome! I highly recommend stopping at Butterbird for the best chicken in town.
