It is Friday October 24th of 2025 after paying for a service: food and drink. I was followed out of the bar by the bartender and berated for not tipping, and was told I stiffed him. While understand his grievance, about the tipping system, and customer service in general, it is unacceptable to follow someone outside after they paid their tab in full. I was told that I was barred from coming back whenever he is working. But I will save the trouble and just not come back. I will not be disrespected, and while maybe I should have tipped, having worked in similar customer service, if I were to follow somebody out of an establishment at former employment, I would have been fired on the spot. This bar had sentimental value, as it was introduced to me by a friend who passed back in August. The sentimental value has been tarnished. It's unfortunate.

Good beer selection, classic dive bar atmosphere. We came for the burgers which were highly recommended. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. They’re nothing special. The bar tender was nice, but she was the only one working and service was slow. They have a great tap list.

Extremely rude bartender at night. Never had such bad service. She threw my card back at me and nearly broke it in half each time she ran it.
Small dive bar with limited seating. Somehow it all works out. Winslow is a local fan favorite bartender. He is amazing to watch while he works and dresses snappy, too. They have a grill here and serve amazing food. The people watching here is always entertaining. A must visit if you are visiting Madison.
