Stopped in on a whim, and loved our experience! Jimmy, the manager, was tending bar and was very knowledgeable about bourbon — we tried a few that we hadn’t had before…some we loved, some just ok — but glad we tried them! The food is excellent, too! Overall was a great experience — highly recommend!
We stopped in here for a week day lunch and practically had the place to ourselves. That concerned us at first wondering why no one was there, but we enjoyed our brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Service was some of the best we have had, very attentive and checked on us often. I would stop again while in the area.
GOOD ENOUGH FOR A GATOR!!!This place is the best kept secret in Madison regarding food. People in this city are usually too finnicky and don't want to try new things, which isn't doing Docs any favors. Here though, the portions are sizeable, prices are reasonable, and the flavors are out of this world. City BBQ (which is much worse) is right on the corner of Mineral Point road, and probably steals all the customers away from this place, which sucks, because Docs has...
