My wife & I stopped for lunch @ Dotty Dumpling's Dowry after parking across N. Frances Street at the Southeast Campus Ramp. We arrived early enough to counter the TA member-reported service delays prior to attending the afternoon UW women's hockey game, and we managed to beat the Saturday lunch crowd to a high table across from the bar. The interior spaces are small, and the electric lighting is muted, but the restaurant's front windows offered enough sunlight...
Came across this this cute, famous burger joint by accident and we were really pleased! Sunday afternoon quite busy, but was seated immediately. Burgers are delicious but fries are alacarte... amusing atmosphere and is darling ?
Great experience to visit after a Wisconsin gameday. Beware that the small space will be PACKED and the wait can get long, but the cheese curds and burgers are worth it! Just grab a drink from the bar while you wait and time will fly.
