Garth's is special not only due to their wide selection of rotating taps and large selection of craft beers/seltzers/ciders that you can purchase, but they also allow you to bring in food to eat which offers a ton of flexibility for anyone looking for a relaxed environment to have a drink. There's also a self-serve water/utensil station that allows people to enjoy their meals and stay hydrated effortlessly.I really enjoy coming here with my family to play some board games or just watch the hustle & bustle of Monroe street over a cold beverage. Staff have always been courteous and attentive during my visits, and the place is always very clean which goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

First time visit, we just came for drinks, so didn’t try any food, but pizza, pretzels, and chips available for purchase. Fun, laid back atmosphere. Found easy street parking right outside.

Bartender(not sure his name, we were there 1-20-24) was absolutely fantastic! He was super friendly, informative and we will definitely be back due to his service! The place itself is also great, lots of beers on tap and a ton of options in the cooler to chose from! One of the most unique breweries we've been to!

Great place for great beer. Nothing better on a cold day than getting beer and a giant pretzel.Vegetarian options: I've only eaten their pretzels, which I'm pretty sure are vegetarian.Parking: The best way to find parking is to go around the block to the nearby neighborhoods.

Great beer spot. Limited options for food but what they do have is good.Parking: Parking can be a challenge but no different than anything else in the area.

Absolutely incredible beer bar! Garth has 18 beers on tap (most from Wisconsin), but if, for whatever reason, you don’t like any of those, there are dozens more available by the can or bottle. Casual, laid-back atmosphere, including outdoor seating. The food menu is not extensive, but the pizza is the best I’ve had in years, and if you’re going to enjoy beer, what better food to pair with it than pizza! Garth also has a selection of board and card games available on a shelf in the bar. Also, all tap beers are available in 4 oz portions, enabling you to create your own flight of however many beers you desire. This is a must-visit if you’re in Madison.Parking: Street parking available. There are parking meters, but parking is free most hours Garth is open. I took an Uber here, but on Sunday afternoon, there was plenty of street parking available.

Huge selection of craft beers! Tap selection and cans for every taste! The servers were knowledgeable and helpful. The large pretzel was delicious. We had the cheese and the spicy & sweet mustard for dips, both were very good. Cheers! I'm

What a gem! Loved the sequestered booths for chatting privately with friends. Knowledgeable beertenders who gave great suggestions. Reasonably priced. They pour 4, 8, or 12 ounce pours, allowing you to try several of their draughts. The bathrooms were spotless, you could have eaten off the floor. As an out of town guest, I am jealous of any Madisonians who get to frequent this excellent establishment.
