Best curry in Madison. I love this place. The remodel is very nice, I kinda miss the vibe of the old style but definitely not a deal breaker for such amazing food. You will definitely have to wait if you don’t have a reservation, but it is so worth it.

Chicken parang curry and Thai green tea were amazing! The decor and atmosphere was really pretty and bright. Lots of jade. The server was meh and seemed like he hated us or his job or both. Regardless, would recommend!

Katie was our server, she mentioned she hadn’t been working there long but she handled our table of 10 like a professional. The food was great, the portion sizes are on the larger side so sharing plates is a good idea.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to families with small children. We spend more than an hour of our Saturday afternoon waiting for a table. Had drinks at the bar, waited patiently the estimated 40min for our table and as the kids started getting really hungry asked the staff a few times if it was possible to place an order while waiting to have the food as soon as possible. Not possible. Asked if we are first in line for the table. Yes we are. We see the table allocated to us but cannot place order. Another 10-15min passes and still no table, and no possibility to order. Kids are crying. We decide to leave. Gave feedback and canceled the tip on the drinks bill. Yes, we understand that it is a popular place and there is a wait expected when you just walk in. What we don’t understand is that there is absolutely no flexibility. We have already waited a reasonable time, spent money on drinks and clearly have intent to stay and eat. There is a table for us. There are multiple empty tables. Placing an order for a starter or snack for the kids should not be a big deal. Just shows that it is not about feeding the customers, or providing them with good service, it’s about something else for the staff and management of this place. Maybe we were not the preferred clientele, or maybe we expected too much. I really don’t know. But for those who want to try this place out - book a table, come without kids and have zero expectations. I hope you have better experience than us.

They had the wonderful rarity of mock duck which they call MUN duck. I had mine in a yellow curry sauce, and it was fantastic! Very open to catering to vegetarians and vegans.

The acoustics in the restaurant are a nightmare! I couldn’t hear my dinner companion. I couldn’t hear the waiter. The waiter couldn’t hear me and neither could the hostess. I requested the spice level extra hot, it was served mild. I asked the hostess how much longer the wait time was, she looked at her watch and told me what time it was. There’s no possible way to enjoy a conversation with your dinner companion here. The only person that smiled was the bartender. The hostess didn’t smile at us or anyone when they came into the restaurant. The waiter didn’t smile once the entire time he was serving us. All of the staff looked stressed and that’s no surprise given the fact that the sound was continuously ricocheting off of the bare walls. The air conditioning needed to be turned up, that should’ve been a no-brainer. The bathroom door felt like it had a 50 pound weight attached to it. You shouldn’t have to be a power lifter to use the restroom. The green curry was a joke, It had the consistency of water! Dessert wasn’t offered. I felt sick the entire time I was there, like my brain had been put in a blender (because of the noise). I love Thai food, and I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time. It was a bad experience all the way around, extremely disappointing. Other reviews state that this place is warm, cozy and cute. I found it to be the exact opposite, sterile, boring with no aesthetic appeal. The equivalent of a dental office. PS please find some appropriate workwear for your staff. Unless I’m at Hooters and you are a Hooters girl, I don’t expect to see the wait staff’s bare legs with oodles of cellulite while I’m eating. It’s gross and un appetizing. Noise level Very loud, hard to hear

I have no complaints about the renovation. The food and atmosphere are still good. If anything, I feel like it has enhanced the restaurant in a positive way. It's one of my favorite places to go!

Love the Thai curries. Ridiculous waits because there isn’t that many seats and it’s always packed. Either wait or reserve ahead a time cause it’s worth it

Since reopening, the food is about the same, but ngl the vibe inside the restaurant itself is horrible now :( The whole place is beige and white and lifeless - it feels like an Apple Store. It feels like Ha Long Bay has lost all character and personality. I hope they add more color and artwork in time.

People saying Ha Long Bay isn't as good as it used to be can KICK ROCKS!

Just kidding, everyone is welcome to their opinions but our experience has been the opposite, it's still fantastic. Don't @ me.

Menu is large. Too large. Seems like a quantity over quality affair here. Food was just alright and definitely not the most authentic. Service and atmosphere was good though (although a little cramped inside). My wife’s pho was honestly gross… who puts nutmeg in pho?? (a LOT too).
