If I'm only rating the service here it's a 5 star. Myself and husband wandered into Hawk's to find a new spot. I see a lot of potential here. However the entrance smelled a bit like urine. I've lived in Madison for over 30 years so I imagine it is due to the homeless folks. I'm not suggesting in any way shape or form to not shelter them. I'm just making an observation. After walking in we grabbed a menu. The fella behind the counter immediately noticed...

I totally enjoyed visiting Hawk's Bar in Madison, Wisconsin on August 3, 2024. The bartender was Jimmy, and he was excellent at his job. He provided friendly and helpful customer service. Hawk's has enough craft beers to keep me more than happy. Although I didn't eat there, the food menu looked very good, too. I definitely recommend Hawk's Bar.
