You can never go wrong at Helbach's coffee. Whether it's their delicious southwest wrap or one of their specialty drinks, you won't be disappointed! Their staff is very friendly and fun to chat with. This is my go-to place whenever I get the opportunity to work remotely and have to be in Madison.

Should have read the reviews first. I live on the other side of town and have never come here. Forgot they were anti-maskers. Should have turned around when I walked in and saw the first employee, but I didn’t. Unfortunate choice. Fresh brewed coffee was nice, but then I had to stand around uncomfortable for an unfortunate amount of time.

Coffee and ambiance remain top notch at Helbachs, but I was really disappointed to see their staff are not wearing masks or gloves when preparing food and drinks during COVID (Dane County has a current indoor mask mandate). It's a real shame, since I love this place but will likely not go back now or in the future due to concerns about infection/spread.

I loved how they stood their ground with the mask mandate and let people choose if they would like to wear masks, due to the fact of the mandate no longer making sense. Cute and very authentic. Great coffee and good service.

If you plan on eating breakfast here, you're going to need to block off about an hour of your time. For the high price I was expecting a cook or kitchen employee to make my food, not an overworked barista. You're better off going to the store to pick up some breakfast ingredients.

Very good latte and delicious food. We got the cinnamon roll and southwest wrap both were very good. The owner was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend.

I had to work here for about four months before the pandemic. Knowing what goes on behind the scenes, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There's a MOKA down the street. Better yet, you can make coffee at home.

We popped in for coffee. The coffee and tea were good. Then my wife wanted to eat something so we got a smoothie and chocolate chip cookie. It was one of the best chocolate chip cookies that I’ve ever had. My wife really liked the Vitality smoothie made with kefir. I felt that the staff were very warm and kind. The atmosphere was very comfortable with relaxing, quiet music.

We used to be regulars.... this time we got very watery espresso, scone was disgusting (it tasted like baking soda and had a weird texture), server didn't wear a mask and the place just felt unwelcoming. Very different from a year ago. Do not recommend.
