Had a great dinner on a Saturday night. Dined at a late seating and staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dishes were great, the deviled eggs were a great starter for our table and the entrees were big portions with a lot going on (on a good way). The farm to table and seasonal ingredients really accompanied the main proteins. I had schnitzel which was great. Others had the massive ribeye for 2 and boullabaisse and everyone enjoyed their meals. Would done here again next time we visit Madison.

Fabulous dining experience. My wife and I came for dinner and shared a charcuterie board, the grilled octopus and the curried pumpkin and squash soup. We enjoyed everything, especially the soup. We also had cocktails which were absolutely unique (try the Otzi the Iceman). Lovely and cozy setting on what was a cold evening

We made a reservation for bunch to celebrate some big news with friends. The service was amazing. Our server provided complimentary champagne for our toast! Brunch menu was reasonably priced, portions were large and everything was delicious. This is the perfect restaurant when celebrating something special.

Heritage Tavern is one of Madison’s true gems. If you’re staying downtown, it’s an easy walk and absolutely worth the stop. The space is gorgeous, stylish, and the attentional to detail is impeccable.
The food is outstanding and clearly rooted in a thoughtful farm-to-table approach. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, and carefully crafted by Dan and his team. The cocktails were balanced and creative, and the service was friendly and professional throughout the night.
Our group had a fantastic time, and everyone left impressed so much that we came back for brunch the next day. Heritage Tavern is a perfect spot for both a casual night out and a celebratory dinner. Highly recommend!

Have been here before but ended up here by happenstance. Thank goodness. It was a delectable shelter from the storm. It was approaching closing time but the service was superb. Matt the bartender was attentive and welcoming. The food was over the top good. They care and it shows. All around stellar. Mm
Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever eaten. Ham & Gruyère sandwich with fries & green salad was excellent too.
