What goes on there? We had the worst, most bitter and most acidic expresso coffee ever. We have sipped coffee in Vienna, Trieste, Milan, Venice, Paris and other fine locations, but this "attempt" at espresso was simply awful. Madison people like to call themselves foodies, but if this place is their standard, then they sure don't know a thing about coffee.

Small, local coffee shop with lots of specialty drinks and flavored syrups. Seating can be limited at times and it can get loud and the internet can be spotty, but other than that, great cafe.

Great small independent coffee shop. This is a small place, so it is sometimes not possible to get a seat, especially if you show up after 9:00 a.m. when University is in session. There is outdoor seating during the summertime. The homemade peanut butter cookies are to die for. Get there early cuz they're off and sold out.

I've only ever been to Indie in the summer. During the school year, it is always packed. In the summertime, though, you can enjoy its quaint ambience, receive your order in mere minutes (or seconds for a drink!), and everything is delicious. Their peach/pear/apricot smoothie is to die for, and the food is fantastic, too!
