We had a wonderful experience at the Legacy House today! The owners are so friendly and the food and tea were delicious. We even got to see the resident cranes Matthew and Matilda come up to the table in back for a snack! Go visit Legacy House before they close in a month!

This is the only place to get afternoon tea in Madison! They have a large selection of teas and great food. I enjoy the tea tray because it's a nice sampler - the entire tray makes a good meal for one person. I will be very sad when they close! The shop is also great, with a large selection of teas and tea accessories.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Madison. It's a completely different setting than the usual bars and fast paced restaurants. We made a reservation for the tea room and got the tea tray and some tea and everything on it was so incredibly delicious we got more to share. The gift shop was precious and we bought a lot of different types of tea to try at home. We will be back and I definitely recommend coming here to have a nice relaxing time.

What a great place! I had my daughter's baby shower here. Pat and Marcia were a delight. We enjoyed the tea, soup and tea tree snacks and great conversations. I highly recommend the Legacy House. So many tea options and the gift shop has so many wonderful unique gift ideas.

I love this little shop. It's become my go to for the unique gift - polish pottery, tea pots & cups, teas, ornaments. The tea room is also a nice change from the chain diners. The owners are pleasant and so helpful. If you've driven by and never stopped, do yourself a favor and go in.

This was a WONDERFUL experience. We came here for a 90th birthday and is was just lovely. We weren't rushed, the food was very good--scones were amazing. Lots of variety and the host even brought our guest of honor a special sandwich. The ambiance is just amazing and it was just perfect. Really appreciate the experience

We had such a lovely time having tea! We were so thrilled to be able to order a gluten free 3-tier tray (a few days in advance). All the GF treats were delicious!! The table is set so pretty & we even got to watch the cranes outside the window! We ordered the tea ball that blooms as it steeps…so fun to watch & good to drink. Thank you for the lovely afternoon tea!!

They are selling business and we can see why...they have lovely items for sale. However, I don't appreciate being hollered at the whole time you are exploring the store. Also, having heavy plastic over linen in tea room is so tacky. Whomever "buys just their business" better make sure the owners now aren't their landlords ! Wont ever go back !
