Barman was not informed about service dog law. Decided he knew what a service dog should and should not look like. Make sure to check for accessibility if you are ever going to go there. Not disabled

Owner and staff are very rude. You have to bring the police with you if you’re under the age of 25 because the bouncer doesn’t know how to verify a real ID from a fake one. Food and atmosphere were the worst I’ve seen for an Irish establishment. I don’t like to hate but this bar was the worst one on state street. If you want to drink and have a good time then I would spend your money elsewhere. Slainte.

I went to the bar and used my military ID to get in, (I’m 22) and he asked me if I had another ID and I said I did, but he was being very disrespectful to one of my friends, who had just gotten in, so I told him to give me my ID back, and that we were going to leave. He then threw my military ID at me. I told him he was very disrespectful and that I had never seen someone disrespect the military ID like that. He came out of the bar to apologize, but he was very disrespectful to me and the other people in my group. I think this was the owner of the bar. Very disappointed with the service. He told my other friend to shut up and that she was very annoying.

We had a really great time here! The two bar tenders (Ralph and John) were super welcoming, nice, and fun to be around. My husband and I stopped in just for a quick game of darts and ending up ordering a few drinks and stay for almost two hours. We would highly recommend going there!

I have a service dog and they forced me to leave bc of my animal. Very rude, very unprofessional and very illegal. Do not recommend and will not support.

It's a dive that is always open. Typical bar fare that is consistently well done.

Amazing burger, and a really nice beer selection. Possibly the best mushroom swiss burger I've had, ever.

It's funny how a completely benign thing like a cheese burger can be an amazingly delicious experience when it's done right.

Rude staff and saw the bouncer jon choke a homeless person . Told him he can't choke people when he kicks them out he responded by running 2 doors down to push me and yell incoherent curse words . I was off the property by half a block . I don't care about my stay but watching a bouncer choke a homeless man who can't defend himself says a lot. To justify that is typical

Ok I have literally never left a review in my life but yikes. This place was a super big bummer to what started out as a good night. I walked up to the bar to ask for a drink (just for me, my friend did not because she was my ride home) to which John the bartender asked to see both of our IDs which is totally valid, I have a baby face. I am 23 years old. I handed him my official Wisconsin state ID (I don't have a drivers license) and he told me that he believed mine was fake. I go out to bars and clubs all over the world and have never had a problem with my OFFICIAL ID so I was a little thrown off, to which he said "the red ink" on it didn't look real. I got a little frustrated, and even pulled up a picture of my passport which felt like overkill and continued to repeat that I was 23 years old. He condescendingly told me that it's "not a good look" to argue with a bartender which was complete rubbish because I work in retail and I know what a rude customer looks like. He then repeated to me "you're a kid" while gesturing to my looks and also said "repeating that you're 23 is not doing anything" quite a few times so my friend tried to help me out at that point since he okayed her ID (the irony is that she's actually younger than me). Eventually he came to his senses and served me my drink. When my friend and I were leaving, right as we exited the door he called out "have a good highschool graduation!" which really was uncalled for and unprofessional, let alone humiliating because everyone in the bar laughed. Beware of going here if you have a baby face or an ID that doesn't happen to be a drivers license, this was such a bummer. I've never in my life had a problem with my official ID, and then mocked publically when I left. I'm sure John the bartender is a lovely person but man that was disappointing, and I hope no one else gets treated like that.
