Manufacturing Plant - Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co

The people at the facility and being expedient with unloading was great.
The person who designed dock nine, the receiving dock, does not belong designing complexes like this. It’s a 90° blind back around a concrete buttment off of a small road that goes around the building to the receiving dock. 10 minutes just getting the truck parked in properly. Thankfully, there is no snow. With snowbanks I would consider this to be a nine out of 10 difficulty for a rookie driver. It would be easy to rip off your passenger side trailer door if you don’t stop and peek out the passenger window, every few feet to make sure of your trajectory. I would add photos, but they force you to sign a company rules statement that is very emphatic about photographing or recording anything in the facility. Suffice it to say, dock nine sucks.

DO NOT, Show up early for delivery's.
There's only one receiving dock, door 9 and they won't take you early.

I have dealt with the Chocolate Shoppe manufacturing plant several times in the last 10 years. I have purchased pint-size cases and 3 gallon tubs for parties and get togethers , not to mention ~ naughty ? personal indulgences. The employees have always been professional and sweet. - On the down side- The prices are a little high, BUT as always, you pay for quality... & I would say their quality is excellent ! Also~ it bumms me out that they have removed several of their pint-sized flavors..? OVER ALL : 90% ~ + RATING. So more like 4&1/2 stars.?????

Totally unreasonable receiving department. I arrived at 7 AM for an 11 AM appointment. I have 10 skids for this customer. I don’t have a problem waiting for my 11 o’clock appointment . The next two appointments have not shown up. It is now 845 and they’re still going to have me wait till 11 o’clock . I guess that’s the American way of doing things in this era.

I haven’t had their ice cream yet, BUT the people here are SO NICE and considerate.I got stuck on the hill in front of them, and they let me use their salt to try to give my 30k pound truck some traction. Some of the employees moved their cars and the office staff was really friendly, too.I’ll never forget y’all! It’s my first winter driving a semi and first time to get stuck.Y’all rock!!
