Just had Melly Mel's for a work retreat and EVERYONE was raving about it. The food was incredible. I cannot wait to be back in Madison - Melly Mel's is going to be a staple for me!

They catered our wedding and it was absolutely phenomenal if you are looking for a caterer look no further stop what you are doing and give them a call they are very kind arrived on time got everything set up neatly and the display looks like it was for royalty it was very very good. You HAVE TO try the yams..

The Peach Cobbler - flavor bomb! I want to eat the cobbler for breakfast, I find it that good. Mashed Potatoes/Gravy are my second favorite item we tried on the menu.

Unfortunately as of now (08/12/2025) they don't have a building. HOWEVER they do cater and the food and ALL the sides were beyond good and great portions.

We had catering delivered for my daughter’s graduation. Everything. I mean everything. Was fabulous! We had grilled/smoked chicken and ribs, mac and cheese, pasta salad and stuffed peppers made with dietary allergies in mind, apple pie and divine caramel cake. Melly is sooo nice, I felt like she was family :). My guests keep telling me how awesome everything was- have another daughter at UW Madison, can’t wait for her graduation so we can do it again!

We called Melly Mel's Catering at 3:00pm for an event we had starting at 4:30pm. One of our other catering partners had backed out last minute. Melly Mel's came through and turned around amazing charcuterie boards in time for our event. They looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Highly recommend!

Melly Mel's catered an event I attended today. I don't eat meat, so I only tried the mac and cheese and the cornbread, both were really good. My daughter and husband enjoyed the other sides as well! YUM!

Consistently good food! Friendly staff and great catering! Pulled pork and potato salad and banana pudding, Oh My!!!! Everything is on point and delivered timely! Thank you for sharing your talents and skills!

Mel is absolutely wonderful to work with! She has an amazing family and staff team who catered our wedding, and the food was DELICIOUS. We had so many guests raving about how good the food was, and how well they set up and included serving. Our main courses were the vegetable lasagna and bourbon brown sugar chicken, which we absolutely loved. Our catering option also included a bunch of sides, and there was plenty of food for our guests. Thank you, Melly Mel's!

Dear owner,
Last night; November 16th at around 8:30 one of your delivery vans was driving recklessly. Myself and husband were driving on Milwaukee Street away from McDonald's. We were coming off of Stoughton Rd onto Milwaukee Street. The right lane is a merge into the left lane. That left lane is for left turns onto let's say QuikTrip or McDonald's or whatever else is over there. The speed limit is 25 mph. We know this because we live on this road and have children that would need to be protected from high speed vehicles and such. We were going the speed limit safely and slowly merging into the left lane. We weren't fast. We weren't jerky. We knew exactly where we were going and even used our blinker. The van pulled up behind us going at a high speed and honked the horn. It was so violent that we decided to pull off to the right where there is no passing Lane or parking lot or anything of the like just to get out of their way. I jokingly said to my husband they must need to get to the liquor store before it closes. Keep in mind there were no other cars behind us and no other cars in front of us. That car could have easily stayed behind us safely as we merged correctly and legally. Lo and behold the vehicle in fact did pull into the Rockies liquor store. The driver recklessly tried to get in front of us just to get to the liquor store. I don't know if this is someone that you want to represent your company, let alone be driving in a vehicle that represents your company. We patronize our local businesses and love when they thrive. I Do the same with your business. Good luck.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you want a drama free event do not contact her. You will not get that. If you want your kid to cry then call her for her services. I never met a more drama filled business owner like herself in my entire life. I would not contact her for your catering needs as you will not get what you wanted, nor will it be drama
